Can someone tell me how some one remixes a album with out having access to the original master individual tracks? Are these albums just EQ'd differently or are new mixes?

It's not a remix of the whole album, but a handful of tracks, 2 of them not even on the album. And yes, this guy had access to multitrack (safety) copies. Read his story, it answers all questions.
