If someone has the exact amount of Stones concerts..they're a Legend!

Up to now no one has come forward with an exact detailed list of the amount of Stones concerts..that's if anyone has done it at all including other information like dates, private shows, cancelled concerts etc..I'd love to have these sort of stats. If it hasn't could a research into getting the exact amount be done easy enough?

The Stones are said to have played their 2000th show in 2006 during the ABB Tour...
Gazza here worked hard on counting and mixing sources so it sould be reliable (maybe 1 or 2 shows more or less)

Mick and Charlie have both missed a gig. Keith is the only one who's played every show.

Fascinating stuff. Funny how Saturday Night Live TV is listed as a concert.
They have played in about 25% of all the countries in the world, so plenty of challenges still left.
Couldn't find a cancelled concerts page? (I wondered which countries they were due to perform in SA in August 1972 were scheduled).

Yes, it was one of Twickenham shows. It was even announced on rollingstones.com.

Perhaps Ian McPherson from [www.timeisonourside.com] knows the exact amount of Stones concerts.

Or try to count it together from the Concert Tour Chronology : [en.wikipedia.org] .

Paul Jones replaced Mick on September 8th 1962, and Micky Waller replaced Charlie on March 15th 1964.

Somebody has created an interactive map with every concert (according to Setlist.fm) the Stones played between 1963 and 2015.

There sure are mistakes. I randomly clicked at 2007 and the last show in Stockholm on the 2nd of November surely isn't right. But it is still very interesting nonetheless.

I checked the 5 shows I attended, 2 are missing - Berlin Waldbuhne 2014 and Vienna 2014 winking smiley

Yeap, compiling data about more than 2k shows is a seriously difficult job.

Wow! That's absolutely incredible. What a thing to be able to say! It must be closer to about 2050-2075 by now

Don't think for a second that I'm disagreeing with you as 2000+ Stones shows IS a spectacular number. However, just imagine how Yul Brenner must have felt after performing the role of the King of Siam in "The King & I" 4,625 times!

Peace,
Mr DJA

A lot of missing stuff and bad locations.
Is there a way to help improving it ?

The great Gazza calculated 2,057 concerts up to the end of 2007 (give or take one or two) this doesn't include TV performances,mini-sets Superbowl,or video shoots Waiting on a Friend,Undercover etc..the 22.8.2006 concert at Twickenham to be their 2,000th which was acknowledged by the band's official website and an interview done with a couple of band members reflecting on it.
So from the end of 2007 - 17.3.2016 including today's concert and if the site I'm working off is correct it'll be The Stones 2,147th concert.
Who knows there could be someone out there whose written down every concert from day 1 with accuracy..what valuable information that would be!

Why did Mick miss the show?

Charlie also missed half of the Ian tribute show in 1986, replaced by Simon Kirke.

Oh man, it must have been second nature to him. I guess like the Stones with their songs, he could keep portraying the character a little bit differently each time. But wow, 4,625!

I guess Bill might have a record of the gigs played until he left. Putting together the gigs after Bill left shouldn't be such a problem. So all we have to do is to get it from Bill.

Bill may of continued keeping a record of all the concerts
