Oh dear someone needs to change my iTunes password and keep it secret,
just bought the flick for $14.99
I'm gonna give it a run thru.

I actually just watched this for the first time this morning and was very impressed. I've always criticized the Steel Wheels tour for having too many bells and whistles but at the heart of it - at least in Tokyo - they were playing fantastic! Bitch and Rambler were great! And Keith was on fire!

*hey cool, FYI to anyone who buys these Vault releases off iTunes like I have lately, if download seems wonky, make sure you have enough space (bites, giga memory) on your device. I need to delete some old books to make room b4 it can download on my Apple products.
Anyway, carry on xxoo

Plus this release is great as it's the last film we have of the almost original line-up with Bill Wyman helping things rock and swing! And I consider Woody an almost original member as he'd already been in the band 15 years in 1990!

This is really good but I find the Steel Wheels songs haven't aged that well...and 2000LYFH is great but what's up with Mick and the karate / ballet moves?

One complaint I have comparing this with other releases is that the low end sounds very boomy to me. I have to cut the bass when using earbuds or it almost hurts my ears.

Tokyo Dome 1990 From The Vault stereo mix.

I was listening to my just arrived Tokyo Dome 1990 yesterday. I noticed something strange. The stereo mix is completely opposite from normal CD/DVD releases. Keith’s guitar is on the left channel and Ronnie’s on the right channel. Keith’s guitar is normally always on the right- and Ronnie’s guitar on the left channel. It’s a bit strange to listen to.

It was discussed in the Tokyo thread back when it was released.

There was a fault in the first batch of the vinyl release.

Does it really affect people when they switch it up like that? I guess I will notice it when I am dissecting a song; to see who is doing what, and where etc. But I don't think it would bother me.

It doesn't feel right. It's the same with Philly Special, the 1972 bootleg.

But it doesn't bother me smiling smiley

As DandelionPowderman it was discussed when that album was released. Even more, it was possible to get replacement CD's upon the request to Eagle Rock. As far as I remember, they asked for a proof of purchase and afterwards send you a new pair of CD's in a simple plastic bag. It worked for me.

It is no big deal. But Keith from the left channel just does not sound right. Well, you always can imagine yourself at Charlie's place winking smiley.

It doesn’t feel right, but really bothering? Just a bit. But the answer from Ironbelly is a good one!! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out. Hadn’t looked in that thread then. Thanks for the answers.

I didn't bother to swap my vinyl records with new ones with the correct mix.

Instead, I'm just listening to the dvd (which had Keith in the right speaker) on my cd-player.

That's why it was released on the "From The Fault" label : because it's faulty.
The correct stereo image is on the "From The Vault" label.

I have this at home as I buy them all and have not listened or seen the video , as I always watch Atlantic City PPV and Montreal which I was there and it was a super cool and very cold night north of our border. The Stones were on fire and kept everybody Hot ! Wacky set up for the stage which was behind home plate in Olympic Stadium former home of the Montreal Expos (who now are the Washington Nationals )

Both on audio and DVD. For Tokyo the whole concert was flipped on CD but normal on DVD.

I just checked my CDs - they have the channels switched thumbs down

Is it still possible to get corrected ones?

How can I contact EagleRock?

I contact them by email at their official site (apparently, it is not listed anymore) and through their page on Facebook via messenger (https://www.facebook.com/EagleRockEnt/). Somebody answered me at Facebook and asked to present a proof of purchase. In my case it was an invoice from amazon. Also they asked to confirm shipping address and sent a simple envelope with 2 replacement discs in plastic sleeve. No extra charges. Those CD's were newly pressed from different glass masters. I.e. they made additional pressing run at optimal media GmbH.

But this was done like a week after the release (in the early November 2015). I do not know if this option is still valid.

Play your dvd instead on the cd-player. It's got the right mix.

Wait, aren't the drums center? Also if the channels are reversed then wouldn't the hi-hat follow Keith anyway?

From the late 60's on drums are stereo, and the imaging should reflect how drums are set up: high hat panned left from center, snare and kick in the middle, ride and crash cymbals and floor tom right of center. China crash should be left of center.
