Yeah Smith "kills" the rumour that when he exited the NET caravan Bob was absolutely fed up with him.
I had read in a Brit mag horror stories that Bob wouldn't even look at Smith onstage or backstage (with the secret hope that the guitarist would quit out of anger).
Complete baloney...

In my high school days, I watched a lot of GE Smith during those ten seconds he had before and after commercial breaks. Great musician.

Great storyteller too.

The Keith story is great.

Cool story by a great player. I have wondered why Keith hasn't done more acoustic work. Really like his Spanish riffs, could use more of that. Thanks for posting the video.

If you are not from the US...I understand why you might not know G.E. Smith...
but damn..the guy was Mick's lead guitar player when he did LIVE AID...was Saturday Night Live's Lead Guitar Player forever...and played on Jaggers solo albums and David Bowies and numerous others...a New York Institution.

GE Smith was at the band hotel in Dallas - June 6, 2015, and in the VIP Lounge before the concert that night.
