The music video for "Neighbours" was directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg. It was shot on 1 July 1981 at
the Taft Hotel in New York City. Lindsay-Hogg took "considerable" inspiration from the set and suspenseful
screenplay of the Alfred Hitchcock film "Rear Window."
"Neighbours" wasn't released as a single, but it did get a music video. The Tattoo You album was released around the same time MTV went on the air in 1981, and The Rolling Stones had a huge presence on the network that year.
"Neighbours" - The recording took place during the June–July 1979 Emotional Rescue sessions, between October and November 1980, and April through June 1981, at Paris' Pathé Marconi Studios and Atlantic Studios in New York City.[1] With Jagger on lead vocals, electric guitars are performed by Richards and Ronnie Wood, with Wood taking the solo. Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman perform drums and bass, respectively. Sonny Rollins also contributes saxophone, one of his three credits for the album. Ian Stewart performs the song's piano. - wiki
Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger belts out a song during a performance in
the Superdome in New Orleans, Dec. 7, 1981. A record indoor concert crowd of
87,500 paid $18.50 to hear the Stones.

he Stones concert which set records not only here but across the country was Dec. 5, 1981. The Superdome crowd of 87,500 broke the U.S. record for the largest attendance at an indoor concert. Although George Strait shattered the record with a 2014 concert in Dallas, the Stones still hold the title for the largest crowd ever for a Superdome concert. Their 1981 show featured opening acts The Neville Brothers and George Thorogood and the Destroyers.
“Clad in a red and white Hawaiian shirt with sweat pouring off, Mick Jagger danced and gyrated across the stage of the Superdome Saturday night as the stadium shook with the deafening music of the Rolling Stones,” reported The Times-Picayune front page the next morning.
A few days before the concert, gossip columnist Betty Guillaud chronicled a private party hosted for the Stones aboard the riverboat President, which was catered by Paul Prudhomme and featured performances by The Meters, Deacon John Moore, Clarence “Frogman” Henry and The Neville Brothers. Jagger and then-girlfriend Jerry Hall also dined at Brennan’s and Broussard’s while in town, Guillaud reported.

That was my very first Rolling Stones concert. So many great memories of that super hot day in Munich. Two more in 82 followed: Frankfurt and Cologne.

I was fortunate to see Van Halen open for the Stones in New Orleans in 1978 and the above Orlando show in 81. VH were fairly unknown in July of 78 - but by 81 they were huge. Have the Stones ever had a bigger and hotter band open for them?

Only some days ago a friend sent me a set of great pictures from the concert at Olympiastadion München (Munich) on 10 June 1982. But even if I asked him for permission to publish it on iorr I would not know how to do it.
