1:53 pm here in E. TN so the drinking has not yet commenced for me. However, soon after my arrival at "Casa de DJA" I will be cracking the seal on a brand new bottle of "Larceny" Bourbon. This will be my first time drinking it.
I am currently progressing through "DJA's 2016 quest for tasty new bourbons". My favorite for a number of years has been Woodford Reserve but I am experimenting with recommendations from friends and associates.
The bottle of Elijah Craig was finished last weekend. That was a recommendation from the guy at the liquor store and I did enjoy it. Definitely a "stronger" flavor than Woodford's, it didn't make it to the number one spot but it will be purchased again.
I'm going to have to see if I can find the thread here at IORR with people's whiskey and bourbon recommendations. I think there was one at one point. Until then, if anyone would like to encourage to my ongoing delinquency/experimentation with your favorites, I'm gladly taking suggestions. Note: I tend to not care a whole lot for Scotch whiskey.
Peace,
Mr DJA[
Jefferson's small batch is delicious.
