Holy crap she was right indeed! Last color I would have expected on Keith too. Does she take set list requests?

She asked for "Let's Spend the Night Together" because James Phelge's post about Linda Keith reminded her that she'd asked James about Linda because she heard that Linda inspired the song.

Nice to hear that there is a connection to the band on here. Hope there will be a lot of good information going back and forth. The message I would like to convey is please tour Europe this year. Would love to see them again, plus many others I suspect. Cheers.

Keith always alters between green and that red/pink outfit (A few times blue). It might have been a 50/50 guess

Actually, I didn't know that the starting point of the lyrics on LSTNT were Keith's.. All I've read is how Keith wrote it on the piano, and that he thought it was a follow up to Have You Seen Your Mother.

And of course this Mick-quote

«I always say Let's spend the night together to any young lady I'm taking out. If people have warped, twisted, dirty minds, I suppose it could have sexual overtones. Actually the song isn't very rude. When you hear it you'll realise this. There are a few slightly rude bits, but I've covered them up».

Of course I'm just speculating too - but Linda could well have been Keith's inspiration for LStNT, why not

She could, but as I always believed the words were Mick's that thought never crossed my mind

A romantic partner can inspire music too, you know, not just words. Look at Gomper :E

Mick has always openly admitted that he didn't write Ruby Tuesday and as previously said the most common story is it was Keith's in its entirety, inspired by Linda Keith. He does love the song though and given that he & Keith seem to be close again hopefully it will get an outing on this tour at some point. Personally I was bowled over by their performance of it at HP2 - I thought it was a thing of beauty. See Sweet Summer Sun.

As for LSTNT, Marianne claimed it was inspired by a night she spent with Mick a few months previously (or Keith perhaps ??? )
