Hell no! That would suck. They have enough trouble playing their own material.

thumbs up but they could try "Jean Genie" not live but on the next album. We should be sure they'll play it correctly!

Well, they have a history of playing short selections from songs based on where a show is located ("Bob Wills is Still the King" and "All My Exes" in Texas, "Hang on Sloopy" in Ohio, etc), so I can see them playing a short snippet of a Bowie song, probably Jean Genie, but not the whole song.

Why should they? No reason too.

Here's one we first recorded at Ronnie Wood's house with the late, great David Bowie...... "It's Only Rock And Roll"!

What you'll get is a picture of Bowie on the jumboscreen during "Miss You".

Wanna bet?

"Rebel Rebel", or "Jean Genie", or "Diamond Dogs", I would say...

Diamond Dogs would be cool but I doubt they could pull it off. Jean or Rebel is safer

No of course they shouldn´t.
Bowie deserves better things in his honor than a sloppy train-wreck version of one of his songs.

The tributes they did in concert for Bobby Keys, Ian Stewart, John Lennon, George Harrison, Elvis Presley, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and BB King were all so good...

NO covers ever by the Stones please!! Jagger/Richards tunes are what I'm paying for.

In regards to Bowie, they could do She Was Hot and play the video clip which briefly features Bowie.

Cheers

No mention of Watch That Man which is very Stonesy. But I don't want a cover, though a snippet weaved into one of their own songs would be OK.

"China Girl" - Charlie on vocals center stage dressed in a kimono.

Think about it. It would be epic!

Yup no need for them to play Bowie, and I highly doubt they would. I am glad to see Keith reigned in his ego and actually said something nice about Bowie. But they won't play his music.

I'm sure they will pay tribute to him perhaps before playing Angie.

There are quite a few Bowie songs they could play Rebel Rebel and the Jean Genie are the stand out ones for me. I think the Stones could do great versions of these!

Yes ............but it's hard to find a song, I just went through Bowie's songs took me 2 hours confused smiley and I got a bit sentimental listing to all his songs.

Rebel Rebel
Watch That Man
Song for David Bowie (Mick write his own lyrics on this tune)
Queen Bitch

And if please don't let them copy the song they want to play but give it a Stones swing.............

The bridge in "Back to Zero" always reminded me of Bowie.

of course they should

Maybe they should do Warszawa, Neukoeln or Speed Of Life. Art Decade would be also great.

No they shouldnt. Bowie´s songs would simply loose too much when being played by other artists. He was unique and so is his music. The tribute concert in march will only show how huge the gap is that he left, most of the renditions of his songs will be horrible, I guess.

Not a good idea. Probably a version of Dancing In The Streets might be worthwhile.

They might dedicate 'Lets Spend the Night Together', since Bowie covered it on record and live, but I don't see them doing any of his tunes.

The Stones SHOULD do no tributes, as told by others. They, of course, may do everything they themselves might feel for - out of their own volition. ( How can this be otherwise? How on earth can we know what they, in case, may find natural, if anything, as to discuss it in terms of what they "should"?)
