Thanks for posting about this. I didn't know it was coming out and have only checked out a couple tracks on YouTube. From what I heard, I like it. Cool stuff. Though the inclusion of Hispanic/afro-Cuban influences to the music was/is pretty cool. Only complaint (and a small one at that) was the "ZZTop-ish" production. But then again, the sound of ZZTop is the sound of Billy Gibbons so I guess it makes sense. REALLY enjoyed their take on "Treat Her Right"... I've loved the song for years and this new take on how to approach the song was really cool... Fresh.

Some musicians walks around with Dreams...who could even have guess that Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top wanted to make a solo album...He should have shaved also to show that this is no ZZ Top stuff so LISTEN UP for solo GIBBONS!!!

I was surprised and for me it is one of the best 2015 records. The last ZZ TOP records were pretty weak imo...

Perfectamundo is really great, It's also on vinyl... this is "texican" music at his best!

I think the most recent zz top album was better than this gibbons solo album by a slight hair

Started listening to it last night, and was pleasantly suprised. Gibbons has been one of my favorite guitarists ever since I've been into rock and blues. Love his idiosyncratic style.

He just was out west last month.

Doubt he'll be back any time soon as he goes back out with ZZ Top starting in March through May.

blues cheese crumbles are my fav salad topping...do love the title, one of my dad's favorite expressions.

Gibbons is coming to DC this week, wish I could see him, but tis not to be. The album has an interesting cover of Baby Please Don't Go.
