Bobby Helms' Jingle Bell Rock is astoundingly awesome.

Bill Haley's Rock Around The Christmas Tree is good.

Burl Ives' Holly Jolly Christmas is awesome.

Jimmy Buffett's Christmas Island and Mele Kalikimaka are fantastic. I suppose someone who was born on Christmas (the same one that WC Fields died on) should do a Christmas album. He had a funnier reason to do the album though - it finished his contract with the hated MCA Records.

Hate: Bruce Springsteen, Santa Claus is coming to town.
His voice sounds so strained and out of tune.

Love: John and Yoko's Happy Christmas....after that John's spark seem to go, other than the under-rated Walls and Bridges album, it was a long decline thereon.

Joni Mitchell - River. So sad and beautiful. Robert Downey Jr did a credible cover a few years back, but I prefer Joni.

Couldn't decide whether this should be under the Beatles or here. Chose here. My big question in watching it is what does Paul McCartney have on his head? It looks like a wig. If it isn't, Paul got one heckuva bad hair styling/coloring.

Even now Noddy says that it's his pension, he rakes in approx. £800,000 every year

I strongly dislike Christmas so it logically follows thst I loathe all Christmas songs. The Slade one I can just about stomach.

Love Happy Christmas (War is Over) and Keith's Run Run Rudolph and Waitresses' Christmas Wrapping. Also love Adam Sandler's first (original) Hanukkah Song. Not Christmas, but same general time of year.

There are not too many Christmas hits from yesteryear that I dislike as such. McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time (correct title?) isn't particularly good,, but it's a seasonal offering and, for me, is tolerable. Lennon's patronising effort is less to my liking, actually. I don't mind Wham's Last Christmas and Maria's festive number. No, my least favourites are two by that well-known Peter Pan of British celebrity and pop; Cliff Richard. mistletoe and Wine, and, shudder, The Millennium Prayer. Oh, Dear God.

The new Sharon Jones and the Dap-kings Xmas album is aces.
