BreakingBlues meant he hates being the person who breaks the news that the interview has already been posted.

You mean he hated to be that person but someone was pointing a gun to his head forcing him to?
Actually he didn't really hate it at all, he relished being the first to jump in with the rebuke.

Maybe there's a language thing going on here. It's a pretty common english expression, especially on the internet ("I hate to be the guy who....., but...." )
It's a gentle and courteous way of saying, in this case, "yes it's been posted already and here's where." By saying, "I hate to be That Guy", he's acknowledging that some might take the pointer to the other thread as a scolding, and the opening part lets us know to not take it the wrong way. I guess the best intentions backfire sometimes. His post is 180 degrees from a rebuke.

It's just funny someone saying I hate to do something when if they really hated to do it they wouldn't, that's all. It was a gentle rebuke -- I have no problem with his pointing it out -- it's just funny to say I hate to when you really don't hate to, you like to.

Yes, it is funny! How we use and perceive language is a trip. I don't even see it as a "gentle" rebuke, but I see how it can be read that way.

this thing is must viewing...the interviewer was excellent. An obvious fan you could see he could hardly believe he was interviewing KR.
the fact he could keep it together enough to have keith show him 'moves' on guitar is major kudos to him.
best 'keith' thing I've seen in years.

He was obviously just trying to increase the appraised value of his guitar he brought to the studio. No doubt he will keep those 5 strings tuned by Keith on the guitar as long as he owns it.

What if one of them breaks?
