New to the forum. I suppose it has been done to death but I wanna know when you got your first album and first stones album. K-tell's Starflight was first album, 1979 First Stones album was Emotional Rescue in 1980, was ten years old. I remember wanting it for She so Cold but I also had a Styx album in hand, I seem to remember it was Paradise Theater. Technically it was a cassette format. And had to wait to ride the 25 miles back home with ma & pa, I think people with the iTunes don't understand the anticipation of having to wait a bit to hear what you bought. Not the 10 second download instant music era of today. Many people don't talk about the Emotional Rescue album but I was hooked on the Stones after that. I had no clue of the back catalogue and awesome singles, the next few years I was in heaven. Hot Rocks was the second tape I owned and was amazed but I was intrigued to listen to some of the not hits like Before they make me Run or Fingerprint File. I got to the point where I enjoyed those songs. Jigsaw Puzzle and Little T & A or Shine a Light or if you really want to be my Friend.
First Stones album: Tattoo You. First other rock/pop-album: An EP with Elvis: CC Rider (from "aloha in Hawaii". Back in the seventies. I guess I was nine or something...
The first album I bought was Exile On Main St'. And I was nine years old. How tragic is that? To know that you can only go downhill for the rest of your life...
First albums as christmas gifts 1965: The Rolling Stones - Out of our Heads Hep Stars (incl Benny Andersson (ABBA) on piano) - We and our Cadillac at the age of 11 and yet only kissed by my mother...
I had a bunch of Stones-singles before my LP-Collection started up with this two mentioned...
My first album I got, I bought it myself when I was 11 years old around Easter 1970. It also happened to be a Rolling Stones album of course! It is Through The Past Darkly.
