this is a fabulous foto!
yes, it definitely has a brechtian shimmer to it. ...

the part of the brechtian technique the shows do not reach for is the alienation effect
to create a distancing effect on the audience ...
but what a band! turn up the stones! i love the rolling stones!!!

Maybe the ticket prices are the attempt at Brechtian alienation :E
But in any case: Yeah! Turn up the Stones!

You know what ...

Everyone around here knows it's Keith who lights me up, but
me love the Mick too, bless his face. And all the rest of him.

OK I wasn't going to participate here but since it looks like the thread is moving along....this one always creeped me out a bit, kind of a Tom Keylock thing going on with him...or something.

No wonder, this is the aftermath of L'Wren's death....

Mick is fascinating, the camera never quite captures him, he is liquid, he and Keith have a way of looking washed up and beat, and then 2 days later miraculously they are re energised. When i saw Keith at the Town and Country club he was liquid limbed. I think they are Archons. You people have no idea what i'm on about do you lol

Nah, it's all greek to me...........

In that case I feel pretty bad about posting it, my apologies. In fact I made an edit and deleted it...perhaps you could too.

Just like "Keith doesn't look like Keith" anymore, Mick doesn't look like Mick anynore.

There was a time when Mick coundn't take a bad picture. But now it's easy to take a picture of him where he looks like an old man whose face has been weathered by the sun and the sea into old wrinkled salty leather.

The Rolling Stones all look exactly like themselves, and like nobody else.
They have splendid, remarkable, beautiful faces. Blessings on them all!

Photographers have bad days sometimes - even Paul Natkin, who should know better.
But he was always more of a Keith-and-Ronnie man anyway.

Jagger's hairstyle in the photos you posted is very similar to the one sported by Richards from 1968 until the mid-1970s, but neither Jagger's hairstyle in the above pictures or Richards' hairstyle would be considered mullets.

In no way is Jagger's current hairstyle a mullet, either.

I think you misunderstood along the way what a mullet is: short by the ears, long in the neck and a forelock.

Mick's mullet of today is not extreme like in the 80s, but it's still a mullet smiling smiley

In Norway we call it a «Hockey Hairdo», btw..

he should check the appropiate mullet ratio. But as he runs most part of the business in the band, a long mullet is not compatible with what he does for the band. In the past years, it was a great option. Now the business has got more importance for him, as he's not that young and can't party as hard as he used before. So his hairstyle is pretty good now.

Nooooo...it's uniformly long and shaggy. That's not a mullet.

The first two photos are much closer to a true mullet. Utterly ghastly.

Mick and Keith are the kings of mullets! They both have sported pretty extreme ones from time to time and Mick's style today, while not drastic, could still be considered a mild mullet. I think they were called "shag" in America during the 70's, although that word certainly has other meanings in Great Britain and elsewhere.

Cheers eduardoacdc, that post was classic!

Keith however might have passed the stage of a proper mullet. Although Jesse Ventura seems to pull off a good approximation of one considering what he has to work with. lol
