Tomorrow, for The One Show, I'm chatting to the one huge rock & roll hero of mine who I've never before met.
The Great Man has agreed to talk to me for my occasional One Show feature - Guitar Heroes' Guitar Heroes.
And I'm thrilled Keith has chosen Robert Johnson and Chuck Berry. We could be nattering until Christmas...
The interview is scheduled for transmission next Monday, 14th September, at 7pm on BBC1.

Must be Stones week - Ron Wood is on the One Show tonight...

Keith may have pinched one of his cigarettes, as well as his lighter. That isn't a Marlboro Red between his lips. Sigh, I miss smoking... sometimes.

Just watched Ronnie on BBC1. He was his usual genial self and he was promoting a book of his personal diary of the year 1965, when he was playing in pubs and clubs around London with the Birds and recounting some amusing anecdotes. Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushks was also on, playing the sitar.

I just watched the One Show BBC 1. Nice interview with Ronnie Wood about his book Short clip of How Can It Be.
Gonna buy this book. Love the history.

grzegorz67, thank you for posting the link. A great clip with Mr. Wood. I understand he has been sober for some years now, but his post-alcoholic interviews never cease to raise a smile. It is always wonderful to see or hear him so coherent, lucid and 'with it' Rock on, Ronnie!

No mention of Keith on the one show tonight

Nothing in the introductions about a Keith segment.

Nope - no mention of his Keithship. But Andy Kershaw seems to have recorded an interview with him so it'll pop up somewhere on the BBC soon enough.

I have no idea why my Keith Richards interview wasn't shown on The One Show tonight. No one there bothered to let me know it was postponed.

I hated myself for forgetting to watch The One show this evening, but now I'm reading here that the interview with our man Keef wasn't aired at all.
So there's hope to catch it one of these days...

real shame he was not on Mondays airong.

Yes blink and you could have missed it.
Shame because Andy Kershaw is one of the best DJs around with a genuine interest and knowledge of world music. I'm sure he and Keith would have got on very well.
Am hoping it might have been part of a longer interview which perhaps will get shown on one of the Corporation's Art programmes at a later date.

Yes, that was a waste of a great opportunity.
