It would be great to see Keith spearhead this...

It is a very sad thing what is going on. But, it doesn't solve the problem just donating money, food, cloth etc. - these are short term measures, helping the people here and now.
The most important thing is to stop the wars in those areas such as Syria. Take away organisations like IS, stop the smugglers that are earning lots of money smuggling people from poor areas to Europe. The smugglers give a damn about the people as long as they earn their big bucks, they are more than happy. If people die on the way from, for example, Syria or Africa to Europe, they could care less.
And also to involve other countries than just Europe, for example, US, Canada and not the least the Arabian countries, like Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Dubai etc.

All Keith has to do is call Springsteen and a handful of others.
Jane Rose and lawyers would do the main work...IF the plight of the refugees
sufficiently moves him.
George Harrison was "hands on" the telephone to get "Concert for Bangla Desh" off the ground.

George had a much more socially involved and helpful attitude than Keith ever has demonstrated in his lifetime. In fact I've rarely, if ever, heard Keith talk about social issues with respect to the music. Of course he could spearhead something like this but it would be so out of character I think you are dreaming, my dear. I get the feeling the Stones will never be the ones to lead something like this. Perhaps contribute a set if asked by the right people but never lead the way, imo.

To be pragmatic about this, I have seen so many of Keith's interviews pushing
his album I simply thought: if he spent the next three weeks talking about something currently in the news, keeping it brief...it could be a worthwhile,
topic of conversation and do some good for others.
I am not holding my breath.
I was raised on "Do Onto Others As You Would Have Them Do Onto You." And try as I sometimes do, I can't escape it.

Of course we will never know (I suspect) if the individual Stones do in fact give financial support to the third world and other worthwhile causes.
I dont think they are likely to publicise it, unlike some of their peer group.
You would like to think so; given that their own tax structures have denied treasury depts across the world considerable revenues over the years.

I'd say that U2, Springsteen, and Waters are most likely to do this... Just as long as Waters gets to do his own Wall portion! He may have to cut out some of the costumes that have become associated with the Wall, but other than that...
