There are similarities to U2's stage in that there appear to be two walkways leading out into the crowd.

Looks very impressive, mind.

That´s not walkways, they are above the stage, and seems to hold some lightingrigs.

It also looks as if these two things are above the stage but that would mean no b-stage, right?

well it says main stage so maybe there is a b stage

The date on the drawings is 19th May....just 9 days after Mick suggested at the press conference that they were still very vague about what the stage concept would be like

I'd be surprised if it was finished so early prior to a tour. usually theyre still working on it up until the final few weeks.

Sounds like an early draft version to me

So let's call this kind of instustrial building the Alcatras stage - including the expensive 1000+x$-seats up on left and right side.

I find these huge stages absolutely awful.
And I think they don't suit the rolling stones at all (as a band and the music).
It comes to a point where the thing is so big you don't even notice there actually is
a band playing somewhere.
Licks was a very well balanced compromise. It reminded the stage of RHCP during the californication tour: as of today one of the best stages I've seen.

The Stones are huuuuge! So this stage suits them very well. I always thought they were the best to perform on a gigantic stage. No one can handle such a monstrous construction better than they do.

Looks like just the scaffolding frame I assume there will be some covering, so where are the on stage seats?

I must agree with liddas. Gigantic stages like this won't help focus on the band. I can see articles in the press already: How many trucks used, how many miles of power cables, how many watts and other unnecessary BS
