Besides "If You Can't Rock Me//Get Off Of My Cloud" have the band ever done a medley or combined songs on stage?

"Get Off Of My Cloud//Yesterday's Papers" in '67.

I feel like they could use the first part of CYHMK as good part of a medley

"Can't You Hear Me knocking//Get Off Of My Cloud" would work very well

I'd like to throw my hat into the ring with what I feel is quite a likely setlist for the next tour.
This isn't necessarily what I want - I just think it will go something like this...

Angry
Jumping Jack Flash
Whole Wide World
Paint It Black
You Got Me Rocking
Bite My Head Off
Dead Flowers
Out Of Time
It's Only Rock N Roll
Miss You
Mess It Up

Keith:
Tell Me Straight
You Got The Silver

Sympathy For The Devil
Tumbling Dice
Honky Tonk Women
Satisfaction

Encore:
Start Me Up
You Can't Always Get What You Want

...and I think that's if I'm being generous with the amount of HD songs we'll get. Still - anything at this stage is an absolute Godsend!

Would love to get Thru & Thru, but Keef won't do 2 ballads. Just wish he'd dust off some others besides T&A, Happy, and BTMMR. Tried to appease the masses here too, but I would swap Let Me Go for TD. Could lose Satisfaction and PIB also for other more obscure songs, too, but prolly not gonna happen. A setlist without Rambler OR Shelter! Has that ever happened?!?

Weren't you at the 2021 Nashville show? Connection was a nice surprise! First time live in 15 years (also the likely last ever performance of Troubles A' Comin).

A setlist without Rambler or Shelter? Yes, at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2007. Maybe it doesn't count as it was a 15-song festival setlist.

Start Me Up
You Got Me Rocking
Rough Justice
Love In Vain (with guest Paolo Nutini)
Can't You Hear Me Knocking
Ain't Too Proud To Beg (with guest Amy Winehouse)
Tumbling Dice
--- Introductions
I Wanna Hold You (Keith)
Slipping Away (Keith)
Miss You (to B-stage)
Satisfaction (B-stage)
Honky Tonk Women (to main stage)
Sympathy For The Devil
Brown Sugar
Jumping Jack Flash (encore)

Many shows in 2007 were without both songs. Gimme Shelter was rarely played on the ABB tour. In 2007 Midnight Rambler and Can't you hear me knocking were switched each Night.

As Rambler is my favorite, I wouldn't mind hearing it every night.

I could do without Miss You, Satisfaction, Street Fighting Man, YCAGWYW, and HTW in favour of deep cuts and new material.

I also would like to see them retire You Got Me Rocking and play Out of Control in its place, as part if their semi-in-rotation 90s album representation.

Usually I would say drop Miss You and Midnight Rambler. But in 2022 they were highlights for me, for a change. Maybe an unpopular statement but I'm okay without Start Me Up and even Honky Tonk Woman. Paint It Black could be done occasionally in my opinion.

I agree about SMU and Paint it Black, albeit I enjoy PIB to a higher degree than some of the other warhorses. SMU could be replaced by Angry for the HD tour IMO

Yes.

You do realize they'll never play anything from DIRTY WORK again? They've played Harlem Shuffle once in the last 15 years or so.

They also won't do Out Of Time again.

Maybe they'll play something from AFTERMATH or BETWEEN THE BUTTONS, something unordinary for North America.

Aside from those two, yeah, could do without Paint It Black and Honky Tonk Women. Ha ha... Hang Fire!!!!

One Hit would make a phenomenal opening number!!! Snarling guitars could be starting behind the smoke and then colored lights/lasers whipping all over the stadium as Steve comes in on the drums. Pyrotechnics going off at the first It took just one HIT!! Would be awesome!!

Angry will be played every night I’d assume. I’d also hope Whole Wide World/Bite My Head Off are regulars. Add Tell Me Straight in Keith’s set

I’d welcome Out Of Time back in for a few shows. Remember they did soundcheck a pretty great sounding Mothers Little Helper. Maybe that sees some action. 2021/2022 saw 19th NB as a regular so I’d drop that and maybe replace with a juiced up version of Have You Seen Your Mother or something similar. Think that could work nicely

Miss You, Rambler, YCAGWYW don’t have to be there every night. Also Ghost Town will be a goner. Plenty of room if they want it

I’d almost bet a kidney they’ll do Out of Time. The reception was overwhelming. Unfortunately I believe this ruins any chance for Mothers Little Helper. Would be shocking if they played both.

I have the same feeling that the success of Out of Time was the reason why MLH wasn't played in 2022 because they're both "obscure songs from Aftermath". Although I think it would have made sense to play MLH instead of 19 NB at every second show because they're both uptempo numbers.

Funny with all the whining about setlists, and when people set up what they hope for in the new setlist, it is again full of the songs they moan about.

For me I include some hits in an attempt to strike a balance of hits/obscure in the setlist. I’d strike TD too. HTW, JJF, SMU have been played at every show and won’t go anywhere. The rest are dispensable.

I don't think it's strange at all because:

1. Not everyone is complaining about setlists. Maybe 50% of the posters do but even them the other 50% may appreciate the current setlists and are maybe just hoping for certain songs to BE added.

2. Setlist discussions are not only about dream setlists but mainly about realistic setlists that could be played on the next tour. Therefore people try to include possible new Songs in the known setlist structure.

I want something new and surprising. Angry would fit both categories. In my 13 shows I've had:

Satisfaction - 1
JJF - 5
SFM - 2
SMU - 4
PIB - 1

Tho to be fair, I've always thought that JJF makes the best opener, and BS the best closer. And anything in between, I didn't care about so long as I kept getting songs not heard live before.
