Not sure if there is a technical definition of "rock ballad" that I am missing, but here are a few slow tunes and tear jerkers that get to me...
From the Stones:
"Love In Vain," "Till the Next Goodbye," "Moonight Mile," "You Got The Silver," "Waiting On A Friend," "Winter," "How Can I Stop," "Sweet Black Angel"...I could certainly go on...
From Neil Young:
"Bandit," "Human Highway," "Train of Love," "The Losing End," "Harvest," "Don't Be Denied," "Ambulance Blues," "Razor Love"
From Dylan:
"Boots of Spanish Leather," "Buckets of Rain," "She Belongs To Me," "Wallflower" AND YES, "Most of the Time"
Assorted Greatest Hits:
"The Weight" The Band
"Stand By Me" Ben E. King (or Lennon's, for that matter)
"Long Distance Love" Little Feat
"Pancho & Lefty" Townes Van Zant
"Don't Let Me Down" Beatles
"You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" Beatles
"Across The Universe" Beatles
"I Still Miss Someone" Johnny Cash
"I Fall To Pieces" Patsy Cline
"That's How Strong My Love Is" Otis Redding
