I don't care for the harp fill ins. You can really tell this was mixed by the way that the vocal is just dropping off as the harp comes in. Since we know it's Mick playing harp, it makes it too obvious this is a studio mix. What happened to the good ol' days of live in the studio? As I recall, Dirty Work is the last Stones album done this way.
Takes me back to the Hyde Park instrumental section of Midnight Rambler 1969. It's on a different level to the other new Stones songs although i could do without the forced anquish in Mick's vocals.
Both Keith and Mick on guitar and Mick plays the slide/rhythm part! I also think this song is completely Mick and Keith! Mick on drums, shaker, harp, vocal, slide/rhythm guitar (right channel) Keith on guitar (left).

no - really i was just tired of being slagged on this board, so i made that part up about liking this song...it sucks.

AMEN.... This is the real stuff, man Not just a Bang....A BIGGER BANG !!!!
...never got to be introduced to a a NEW STONES album like that.... tune by tune.....every 4-5 days days another new Stones song.... Cant wait til we get to hear the next one.... and the next...
Mick said in an article (Billboard?) that none of his drumrecordings made it on the new album... so this must be Charlie on Back Of My Hand. And still I think it is Mick on slide.
awesome...back to basics blues...this is getting tantalizing...we've heard four tunes and only SOL is getting a really mixed reaction from the crew here. And we've got 12 more to go! WOW!
I like the lyrics to ONNYA except for the line about jello.Rough Justice & Streets of Love,I believe are two songs that could have had more effort put into the lyrics.

Now why should that be? Lets spend some/a time/night together The singing/ yelling - ok
This has got to be a sign of the apocalypse - Edward Twining and StoneTod both made somewhat positive posts about a Rolling Stones song recorded AFTER '81.
Pain of Love All the Way Down Dirty Work Harlem Shuffle Break the Spell Almost Hear You Sigh Fancy Man Blues Continental Drift Brand New Car I Go Wild Suck on the Jugular Thief in the Night Juiced
....there's another baker's dozen for you, Thief! Not a problem, don't mention it....
Just heard it for the first time. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!! A truly great track. Reminds me a bit of their greatest blues outtake Still A Fool, but there's more speed to this one. Great harp, great drums, great nasty vocals and of course: GREAT GREAT GREAT GUITARS!!!!
