I received a phone call at 430 today from a good friend who has a relative that works in management for Buddy Guy. He told me to show up at Buddy Guy's Legends bar in downtown Chicago at 830p and not say a word to anyone. I got there at 8p and there was a modest crowd, nothing huge and anyone could've paid the $10 and got in at this point. Within 10 minutes I actually got a table by the side of the stage and my friend showed up to join me. His relative soon join us and told us that Keith had been there earlier shooting pool with Buddy Guy shooting a documentary about their current tour. At one point they did shots of moonshine with pineapple juice. There was a possibility that all the Stones were going to be at Buddy Guy's tonight!
Another hour and a half went by and we all were enjoying some great blues by local Chicago bands. At around 10P a sight that I will always remember happened... ALL of the Stones sat at a table 10 feet away from me. It was Charlie, Charlie's grand-daughter, Keith, Ron Wood and his girl and Mick with some really hot looking girl who looked about 25 years old. I couldn't believe it, I was stunned.
Some highlights:
Ronnie and Keith were taking pics of Buddy Guy playing on stage with their phones
Ronnie and Keith were sharing an e-cig
Keith was wearing sunglasses indoors part of the time
They all seemed to be getting along great. I saw Mick talking to Keith and they both started laughing. Same with Mick and Charlie.
At one point Mick started dancing by his seat as the band was playing
Eventually Buddy Guy got on stage and announced that the Stones were in the house. He admitted that he cooked ribs for all of them earlier and asked that we all just leave them alone. Which everyone did!
At one point he tried to get Mick to come up and help him sing "Rock Me" but it did not happen. I did see Mick laughing about it.
At around 1130 Keith left and then the rest of the Stones left a few minutes later.
I wish they would've played but now I can always say that I hung out at the same bar as Keith Richards.
An amazing night!

I was there that night in 89 also. I think it was a Sunday night. Bill Wyman
and Chuck were there also. Wow that was 26 years ago.

I knew it could possibly happen but when it did I was in disbelief. It felt like being a kid again on Christmas morning,
while possibly being on steroids on christmas morning too, ?? you're so lucky--
glad for you!
but naturally, I'm a little bit crushed by the news of the 25-or- close-to-it year old gal with Mick...quick, I have to get back to my Imaginary World Right Now! To SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH MY IMAGINARY BOYFRIEND MJ! sigh.

Elizabeth Jagger usually dates much older men. The oldest was Steven Tyler.
