Does the forum have a private message capability? If so, I can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

What people mean is: No, there's no private messaging on iorr.
But if you try sometime, you can go into your profile and make your email address visible
so that people can send you emails. That's the closest we get to private messages here.

You can sometimes catch someone in a thread while they are online here and ask them to message you. BV probably frowns on that, but I've seen it done.

Well, you can ask them to send you an email. Or a tweet I suppose.
But I believe the OP was asking about an "on-site" PM gizmo like some sites have.

You can also add to your Topic this is a "Private Massage" for @name..........so we know we not allowed to read it......
