Regardless of reference to several cities, they should play it the whole tour

The only way would be to hold a member of Chuck's family hostage, but that would sick and wrong, so back to the drawing board...

We'd have to settle for a slowed down version.

"Dig that sound on the radio, Then slip it right across into Buffalo."

Lots of cities are referenced in the lyrics. Buffalo, Dallas, Tampa, San Jose, Santa Fe, Memphis, Washington D.C. Birmingham (Alabama), Little Rock, New Orleans, and maybe more. If it were a song specifically about Buffalo I could see them doing it for sure, but when it's one of many cities randomly thrown in I don't think it's necessarily a no-brainer. As you told somebody in the Buffalo thread when they pointed out that they might play RTJ because of the reference, by that logic they would have played it in Dallas.

To this day, even though I know that those are the words, I still hear the line as "Dig that sound on the radio, then stick a rottweiler in the bungalow." I just can't hear it any other way.

I literally thought the lyrics have always been "then stick a rottweiler with you over the wall."

The lyric is Baltimore not Buffalo, right before Dick and Pat (Nixon) in D.C.

The only show I'm doin is Buffalo so I would love to hear it. thumbs up

The Rolling Stones - Rip This Joint Lyrics

Artist: The Rolling Stones

Album: Exile On Main St.

Genre: Rock

Mama says yes, Papa says no
Make up you mind 'cause I gotta go
Gonna raise hell at the Union Hall
Drive myself right over the wall

Rip this joint, gonna save your soul
Round and round and round we go
Roll this joint, gonna get down low
Start my starter, gonna stop the show
Yeah, oh, yeah

Mister President, Mister Immigration Man
Let me in, sweetie, to your fair land
I'm Tampa bound and Memphis too
Short Fat Fanny is on the loose

Dig that sound on the radio
Then slip it right across into Buffalo
Dick and Pat in ole D.C.
Well, they're gonna hold some shit for me

Ying yang, you're my thing
Oh, now, baby, won't you hear me sing?
Flip flop, fit to drop
Come on baby, won't you let it rock?

Oh, yeah, oh, yeah
From San Jose down to Santa Fe
Kiss me quick, baby, won'tcha make my day?
New Orleans with the Dixie Dean
And Dallas, Texas with the Butter Queen

Rip this joint, gonna rip yours too
Some brand new steps and some weight to lose
Gonna roll this joint, gonna get down low
Round and round and round we'll go

Wham, bham, Birmingham
Alabam', don't give a damn
Little Rock and I'm fit to drop
Ah, let it rock

Nope.........and to be honest......Baltimore doesn't rhyme as well with 'radio' as 'Buffalo' does.

After I wrote that I thought it has both and I was wrong Now i have to go listen

Edit: All these years I thought it was Baltimore but i concede it sounds much more like Buffalo, so I was wrong.

I saw a great show there in Rich Stadium in 75. 90 degree weather, on the field all day, I think the whole stadium was GA, 90,000+. Hope you have a great show this year also!
