A person very close to the band told me. And my gosh, nobody pining for Taylor even remarks on Ronnie's graciousness.

So the Stones have turned into politicians?

Or always have been.

There are two interests here (and they never lie as Marx said). The interviewed trying to say as little as possible, except for the selling stuff, and the interviewer trying to make as much as possible out of, almost, nothing.

They are playing secondary markets this tour to maximize ticket sales and give people in less-visited towns a chance to see them. The NY Times and LA times will review them no matter where they play. The "MT comeback" was just payback for him adding to a couple of tracks on the Exile reissue.

Oh Mick

I guess it had nothing to do with a 50 year anniversary celebration and the fact that he played so well and was so well received at the initial show that he was invited as a guest on the tour?

peace

Ron has had his 40 years joining in last week. Taylor had about 5 years and everybody is talking taylor over and over again. he wouldN't fit in anymore, not basta.

i'm doubting they will tour again for maybe another 2 or 3 years after zipcode unless they come back next year with a different set and setlist then there's not much more they can do and i still haven't ever seen them live and i really really want to but they really need to give that setlist abit of a change

A different what? Set list? Did you really say different set list, because I could swear you said different set list.

Taylor is not on the tour because he was "difficult" last time. That's over and done with. He quit!

Has his being "difficult" been established anywhere reputable as a reason for his not being on the Zip Code tour?

No, it hasn't. And it's utter nonsense anyway.

Why is that? It's because the output in the five years far surpasses that of the 40.

i just realized the "shadow" image is not new, nor is it necessarily negative:

"the sunshine bores the daylights out of me/chasing shadows, moonlight mystery"

Could the shadow comment be a hint for Taylor to come back at some point?

Not impossible, although if you choose to read it that way I think it comes across more as not totally excluding the odd one off appearance in the future than actually opening the door to a proper comeback.

Yeah, I was thinking about one/offs.
