Didn't the J Geils Band and Kim Larsen open for the Stones at these shows?
Men At Work may have opened for Bowie at the same stadium in 1983.
That was mine too, in Longchamp!
Great concert, I still remembering these amazing first notes of Gimme Shelter.
It's probably exactly as you say....I were there 4 years in a row...from Stones-Bowie-Dylan-Springsteen.....

The big FM station player Robin Trowers "Too Rolling Stoned" 3 times in a row as many tried to leave a just about full to the brim Gator Bowl.
But like many had listened since summer of 65 hearing Satisfaction blasting on every beach AM radio....

July 18, 1972, Old Boston Garden. One of the best days of my life. My Dad rented a VW mini-bus and my parents, boyfriend Paul ( later hubby) and Irish Setter all headed to Boston..one of the steamiest summer days on record...lightning crackled above as we took the bridge into Boston....but our seats were right above the stage, one level up....Stevie Wonder opened. The night before the band was arrested in Warwick, RI, Keith hit a photog, off to jail. Mayor Kevin White was the hero. He got them sprung out of jail 1AM, they never took the stage until after 2AM according to my girlfriend who went to that show! Our show was absolutely amazing! Those 2 days were a part of Stones History! Was any one else at that show?

11 June 1999 Wembley Stadium. I was already really into the stones by then but remember having an epiphany during Ruby Tuesday (hence my username) - I just knew I was addicted to the stones (I was sober btw - I'd had just one drink).

Last night at the Fonda...They let me in for free, asked if I could shake my ass and tits...raise my hands high above my head while snapping my fingers. I did this for about 17 minutes got bored...left and went to my favorite internet cafe on Wilshire Blvd. to shoot off selfies to my friends ...Great Time, Great Band, Great Show...cant wait to see them again !!!

1972 at the Spectrum in Philly. Stevie Wonder opened. I was a very young teen and couldn't get a ticket when they went on sale. I actually won one ticket from a local AM radio station. My mom drove me and dropped me off at the Spectrum. It was incredible!

'75 Milwaukee County Stadium with Rufus and The Eagles. Two of the bands had new fangled guitarists along for the ride. I'll see them forty years later down the block on the lake with a new-fangled guitarist opening for, and hopefully joining, them for a song or two.

Nov 1-2 BC Place Vancouver. First local shows since they opened the 72 tour here. So much excitement in town, local media all abuzz. First show sold out within a couple hours so second one was added immediately and that sold out, too. 55000 each night. Second show I was on the floor, row 2 center stage. Best seats I've ever had and the best of the six Stones BC Place shows I've seen.

39 years ago this week, Friday 21.5.1976 - Earl's court London, about half way back, right of centre - £4.00 - fantastic.....although we had to leave during Sympathy to get the last tube to Victoria (stn)................and that night I dreamt the whole show again in technicolour.............a right blast of a weekend.....
