Maybe Elton will take Chuck's spot. Or they could plinkity plink together.

God, can you imagine Elton hammering his trademark chords on "Wild Horses"? Elton is cool but within his own stylings. He hammers much like the dreaded guy from Jersey. Billy Joel..

Sounds like rubbish, Elton only tours with other acts who cannot fill big areanas on there own anymore, i.e. Billy Joel.

Plus I think Keef might be tempted to nick his syrup to cover his own extreemly thinning barnet!

Billy Joel's from Long Island, NY.

Hey kids, shake it loose together
The spotlight's hitting something
That's been known to change the weather
We'll kill the fatted calf tonight
So stick around
You're gonna hear electric music
Solid walls of sound

Say, Keith and Ronnie, have you seen them yet
But they're so spaced out, Keith and the Stones
Oh but they're weird and they're wonderful
Oh Keith he's really keen
He's got electric boots a mohair suit
You know I read it in a magazine
Keith and the Stones

Hey kids, plug into the faithless
Maybe they're blinded
But Keith makes them ageless
We shall survive, let us take ourselves along
Where we fight our parents out in the streets
To find who's right and who's wrong

That's a reason not to go to MSG

shattered - I think it's more likely that you'll find Elton blowing the horn, but that's probably backstage!

I just wonder what Keef thinks about this?

never make that thing. I saw once Elton with Elton's fans. It was so ridiculous. Even fans were not fans at the end of the show. It was so boring. I could be the only reason not to pay for a Stones show. Keep your integrity just like you always made. Poor Elton. The best and the worst come from England.I love the best. Elton and Lady dy could be a great duo, but it's too late. Ok for Elton as human being, friend, not as a rock'n'roller.

I'm just trying to imagine the horror of a jam session with Elton and Leavell.
"No, see you're putting way too much feeling into it. You wanna play it as loud and pushy as possible...here man, use a hammer, there you go, use your feet too...cloink! sproing!"..

As if poor Peter Rudge didn't already have enough on his mind...jagger now confronts him with two elephants he has rented for the Seattle concert.

"Well ride them onto the stage!" he said exhuberantly. "Just like Hannibal! What an entrance! Can you dig it!?!"

The classical allusion did not impress a certain Keith Richards. " I am not working with animals" he said quite bluntly, "It's not in the contract and it's not in the gig. I've paid my dues and I'm not working in no animal act. I worked with Elton John and that's enough!"

Maybe Reg Dwight, Chuck Leavell and Billy Joel should get together as a trio, tour world stadiums, playing piano versions of Stones songs, and charge $200 a ticket.

Elton? Elton whom Mick and Keith referred to as "Fat Reg" back in the late '60s? Elton who couldn't be pried off the stage when he appeared with the boys in NYC in '75 I think it was?

Sounds like wishful thinking on the eternally broke Elton's part.

Boom, boom

dont think theres any indication that it was Elton who mentioned it.

I doubt Elton Bog would want to be anyone's opening act (insert the double entendre of your choice right here, folks..)

Maybe Elton could re-new his wedding vows when the Stones play MSG as an intro to Had it With You
