The Rolling Stones are NOT expected to announce any stadium show for LA, but there are rumours about one or two special smaller sized shows just before or after the San Diego show, i.e. late May. There are talks about performing Sticky Fingers - the album - live, related to the release of the reissue of Sticky Fingers.

The LA event(s) will probably be announced later in April. There are talks about performing Sticky Fingers - the album - live, related to the release of the reissue of Sticky Fingers.

It's good to read you start things rolling BV!

This makes sense, as they often rehearse pre-tour, in LA. So a filmed show or 2, which may include Sticky Fingers in a small venue would work well.

I listened to the album yesterday and the whole thing wouldn't' work in a stadium show, too many slow songs. But I expect, with the SF re-release, they'll do 3 or 4 songs from it in the Stadiums.

I think the LA Forum or Hollywood Bowl might work, it not smaller theater.

Golly, I wish they'd play a little gig here in San Francisco, but I'd be on a plane to Los Angeles in a heartbeat if I got word of a pre-tour gig in LA!

If it's announced at 10am that people need to line up for tickets to a "secret show" by 2pm flying would be the way to go. LA is 380 miles from SF. It's an hour flight.

In any case, SO excited about this!

Maybe a slim chance to see this LA show but start thinking enter LA before heading to SD opener. (From Tokyo)

Then where is the potential venues ?
I have ever been to LA only once and not familiar with LA venues.

No one can answer that. They pulled that Echoplex location out of their bums at the last minute. There's plenty of venues here, including ones we haven't heard of yet.

A nice theater show would be great here in LA. A good 5-7,000 seater,
Burning again at The Hollywood Palladium.

the veiw is great from everywhere
the Stones would look like kings on stage there

Ed Sheeran on "Moonlight Mile" would be dreamy. Or maybe they could host the reunion of One Direction by welcoming back Zayn Malik into the group. The place would explode!

Nicki Minaj on "Bitch" would be one for the ages. Maybe they can find room for Sam Smith somewhere.

Marianne on SM. Mick would have gotten away with that..

That would certainly be the only guest spot we could truly appreciate on one of these songs.

...lets not forget the Orpheum Theater...

oh yes of course we have such a nice abundance of beautiful spots here in LA they can do a secret show and filming the entire performance of sticky fingers could you imagine if it was a general admission gig for 500 at the El Rey oh my god what about the Greek? under the stars at the Greek with all those trees beautiful I like the greek better than The Ford or the Bowl

The theatre at the ace is the old United Artists theatre and it is beautiful, but it only holds about 1500;
Mu guess is they will go for somewhere a bit bigger if they are planning to film these shows.
The Orpheum is slightly bigger at around 2000, The Pantages a bit bigger at around 2600.
The rumoured Shrine and Nokia theatre are both much bigger holding 6-7000.
They are also better suited for filming having much more space around the seats for the cameras to move.
I agree that outdoors at the Greek would be cool and that holds around 6,000 as well.

If they are filming for a DVD Sticky Fingers show, please no damn guest stars!!!!!!
