That's the WORST name of a tour I ever heard >grinning smiley<

Let the record show bitching and criticism began with the sixth post.
Your point is what? Any name that's picked, some people will like it some will think it's stupid. That's the way humans are since we all have our own brains. I guess your point is that nobody should ever say they don't like anything . . . that is bitching and criticism . . . people should only post about the things they like. No discussion, no debate. Why?

I think it's a dumb name on first blush, but maybe the Zip has to do with the zipper on the cover of Sticky Fingers, in addition to being a satire on them playing relatively obscure venues? Maybe it's not so dumb? The thing that's dumb to me is the idea that if you are a fan you have to like everything the band does.

thumbs up
What's the problem with saying what I'm thinking?
And what's the problem with criticism?
Even if my post wasn't meant completely seriously, I just don't like the name.
I think we all are happy that the stones are still on tour, so a name actually doesn't really matter. And the thing that it has something to do with Sticky Fingers makes it actually better.

Anyone seen prices for Detroit yet? Ticketmaster has several shows listed with prices, from $75-$450 as the most expensive show (for the cheap seats at least) to $40-$400 at Columbus. But Comerica Park goes through Tickets.com not TM and they don't have anything listed yet and neither the Tigers nor Olympia Entertainment site have any price info.

No Taylor for a Sticky Fingers celebration? I am opting out of this one and will settle for the live Leeds material, with Taylor, instead.

As well as Buffalo...for "ONE DIRECTION", seems they have a similar stage though: [s1.ticketm.net]

Tele, at this point I agree 100%. I don't feel 13 stadiums and a speedway's level of excitement around here.

If you have information regarding specific shows please post this into the thread that is made for each and every city. See the links on the first page of this thread. Thanks.

No Taylor doesn't have to mean no Sticky Fingers.
I think, even if Taylor would be on tour again, they don't would let him play the solos of too many songs, just because it wouldn't be fair to Ronny.
As a special guest okay, but they couldn't give Mick Taylor even more attention than Ronny.

Mick:
'We were re-releasing Sticky Fingers, so were playing around with titles with 'zips' on'

So the 'zip' stands definitely for Sticky Fingers.

Maybe I am just being optimistic but the bstage in those diagrams looks a bit too big to be a simple catwalk.. Here's hoping they are planning to use it as a full band and not just a walkway for Mick!

I just caught this in the email...

GENERAL ON SALE
APRIL 13 10AM LOCAL

* WRISTBANDS WILL GO ON SALE AT 12PM LOCAL
ON SATURDAY, APRIL 11

So local folks get a special sale different than general sale or presale...?

Most interesting news for me is this: "The band is promising "a generous selection of previously unreleased Stones audio outtakes" from the album's sessions for the release, as well as live recordings from the time."

I'm curious how generous they will be as for those live recordings. Will Taylor be audible on them? I wonder.

I believe the asterisk* is for the Canada show only

If Taylor is audible, what else matters, imo.

Nothing! But I'm afraid he will be buried in the mix, just like they did with the sterile official Brussels Affair release. "In order not to trash down the current line up", to paraphrase Jagger.

So does anyone know if the AMEX presale is limited to AMEX cards issued in the US? Or can AMEX cards issued elsewhere also be used? Please can someone post the US customer service number for AMEX. Thanks.

Ticketmaster lists Amex presales and seating charts. Looks like 2 extended runways. Since they stated in the radio interview that that are hitting the heartland rather than cities like LA or NY do you think they would go ahead and add NY?

The highest price I saw was 424.50 including fees. What show had a 450 price and does that include fees?
