I can't believe that certain people, fans, band members and or associates havent got copies of these performances....in their own archives.
Lawrence also mimed the BS solo on TOTP for some reason...
It's long before home VCRs, which didn't become common in the states until the late 70s. Maybe someone else can say when they were available in the UK.

That looks weird. You play the studio recording with live Jagger vocal, and then have some random black guys mime the horn parts? What a disgrace that something from as recent as 1971 is gone forever.

Somehow 1971 seems to be a bit forgotten by the tapers. So few recordings from the Farewell Tour and the TOTP stuff is not available,too.

Appaerntly these Top of the Pops/BBC episodes turn up once in a while because the shows were broadcast in other European countries and around the world and they are in theirarchives. Some recently turned up in Spain, for example. If Eagle Rock really wants to find Bitch and Wild Horses for a Sticky Fingers special they should find out what countries Top of the Pops was broadcast in 1971 and have maybe someone check those archives. Both songs are possibly on a tape in an archive wharehouse in Hong Kong or something. Who but a dedicated Stones fan would even know they had it? It would probably be worth checking out...
