Does anybody know if "Brown sugar" version with E. Clapton has been recorded on 18/12/1969 or 18/12/1970?

Brown Sugar with E. Clapton doesn't come close to Brown Sugar with Mick Taylor.

It's not stinging, it's lame (and not with a slide)

I was just waiting for that. Clapton is always bashed here... I think he is pretty cool...

I really like the official version, but the Clapton version is transcendent.

The live versions, you mean?

Isn't it an urban myth about Clapton? As far as my ears tell me, it's Taylor playing that solo.

No, the studio one (but the live versions also).
I'm strenghtend in my believe after listening to the YouTube clip above. I was right after all this years of non-listening to it.
What I like most about it is Keith's backing vocals.
Another question came to my mind. This Brown Sugar was recorded during a (jam)session celebrating Keith's birthday dec. 18, 1970 in Olympic Studios.
They must have done other songs...that never surfaced... What songs?
and this is interesting. For some songs Keith wanted to play all the guitar parts like in IORR, TD (With MJ) Happy and luxuuryQuote

Oh okay, maybe that's why it's so much better. They should erase Clapton's part also for the Deluxe Sticky Fingers.
