The opening riff of the Germs' Richie Dagger's Crime is great but only played twice (in that intro).

Concerning the Dead Boys: ...

(They also did a not-so-good cover of good old Stones' "Tell Me" )

... I beg to differ!! It's vintage, classic punk rock, really doing the Rolling Stones proud!

For me ...it has to be London Calling ...more than 30 years later used in the 2012 London Olympics. And Anarchy In The UK ...changed the world in 1976

I was really into 90s Punk Rock between the age of 12 to 20. Also played in a Punk Rock Band back then. So for me it's more about the 2nd generation of Punk Rock bands. I can't name any songs. There are way to many I still love. But the bands that were really great back then are:

Bad Religion
NOFX
Lagwagon
Strike Anywhere
No Use For A Name
Good Riddance
Rancid
Propagandhi
WIZO (from Germany)

Hanoi Rocks never approached metal/poodle rock until 1984, when they were signed on a big label.

Japanese-sounding? Probably because Andy used Zemaitis guitars like Keith and Ronnie grinning smiley
