I´m a late bloomer when it comes to new bands...but i have fell in love with this band,,,exellent lyrics,,nice cathcy simple melodies,,and sound that stands on its own.Through i hear lot of The Cure there,,,doesn´t bother me at all.

I like them. I first became aware of them almost 8 years ago when I saw the video of Read My Mind. They are a very talented group.

Not really my cup of tea, I tried. For me they sound like corporate rock, just not enough soul. The Uncle Jonny tune was the best of the bunch. But it does sound like we may have identified a guitar player who was influenced by The Edge.
The Vevo association turns me off too, way to many botted views. I mean the non Vevo video of a better song, imo, released about the same time has 116,000 views while the Vevo video has over 39,000,000 views?

If you mean the movie "The Killers" (USA-1964) with the ubercool Lee Marvin and Ronald Reagan as the villain... Yeah! I like it!

I have two of their albums. But they're not as good as they think they are. I mean, I play guitar and sing Mr. Brightside and the melody is so limited it's almost like singing a rap song. That's not great songwriting.

They were championed by the likes of the NME at a time when I was particularly keen to follow the current alternative music scene. I bought their debut album, Hot Fuss, upon it's release in 2004-05 and remained a fan and follower up until their third album. I thought they were rather good a decade ago, but have lost interest. Brandon Flowers' solo album is quite enjoyable if I recall.
