I will never be able to listen to " Brown Sugar" in the same way again. I loved Bobby! So glad I got the opportunity to meet him in Philly a few years ago...what a wonderful guy! I'll miss him but his legacy will live on, and certainly in STONES WORLD, he will remain in our collective hearts.

Closest I've ever come to shaking hands with an actual Rolling Stone... Such a nice guy as he greeted fans backstage at a festival in Houston..

Asked him when the next tour was going to be (right before the announced 5o and counting tour) and he replied "Just waitin' on the call, man..Just waitin' on the call..."

Gotta ne particularly unsettling and sad for Keith as the shared the exact same birthday and his "largest pal"..

Sad sad sad.

Oh no ! I keep meaning to buy his solo album, that he recorded in 1972.

Naturally, I love his Stones recordings, but for me the essence of Bobby is that sax on Whatever Gets You Thru The Night by John Lennon. It's on a par with Brown Sugar.

There are sidemen and then there was Bobby Keys. A man whose shadow loomed large over The Rolling Stones especially during their development from a singles oriented chart band to the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world.

RIP Bobby for you will be truly missed by very many people. And thank you for all the great sax playing over the years.

Very sad - I´m always shocked how suddenly someone just fades away, although one knows it`ll happen some day... RIP Bobby Keys

Will be sadly missed, his Sax on Brown Sugar will never be forgotton and his brilliant tenor sax on "Had Me a Real Good Time" on the Faces LP Long Player. sums up how he was the best.

RIP Bobby

R.I.P Bobby. You were an integral component of the Stones sound and will be for the rest of time. You may have left us but the your contribution to music never will. Thank you for music Bobby.
