That Barker character pictured above looks more like a cross between Dee Dee Ramone and David Johansen--but more like Dee Dee Ramone, if he had lived to be in his sixties.

Yes...Doom & Gloom I agree to a degree....I have seen the Stones 50 times dating back to 1975....Are you aware that the Beatles had done around 1000 plus gigs before the Stones played 1 and also plagued by great loss surrounding their lives. Have you ever heard Keith say that the Beatles kicked down the door and we zoomed in right behind them. No matter how you look at it, it is a draw and the Stones themselves would be honored to that judgement.The Beatles slogged and did all the F'NG hard work for absolutely every band that came after them.

Well yes, but the Beatles didn't invent the concert or hard touring. The Beatles did not perfect the concert either, they played on poor sound systems while the wild crowd is blamed for their clumsy presentation. If there is a place they fall short, it was the mega concert. A short 3 years after Candlestick Park the Stones' toured in what can be considered the benchmark tour for all bands to follow. Keith is said to have reached out to Harrison after the 1969 tour to encourage The Beatles to take advantage of the advancements and use of stage monitors but George said it was too late for The Fab 4. As far as the GRRB I give it to The Stone, The Beatles are merely the greatest entertainers in world history, they are bigger than rock 'n' roll, bigger than religion, bigger than you know who.. Whatever the label RS are The Beatles only peers and they're playing all this month, remarkable, those who slam their sets are just not old enough to grasp this achievement. Some of their greatest moments ever came last year, CYHMK in LA, JJF @ Glastonburry, Charlie leering at Katie Perry.. More to come.

Play nice fellas. I take no side as love Beatles and Stones equally but this thread is all about the Stones coming to my country and MY TOWN!!!!!!!!! ><

I'm about to head over to rehearsal site. Any solid info if they are there today?

They are rehearsing as I post this. Have been outside their Adelaide hotel for most of the afternoon. I saw Daryl Jones and backup musicians head out. About 90 minutes later Mick and Ronnie's distinct black Audi pulled up near the entrance. There were a couple of film crews and about 30 or so fans.
Much to our dissapointment the car after being parked for about 20mins pulled away and the Stones (? minus Keith and Charlie) left via undercover car park at the back of the hotel. A real bummer for us dedicated fans who waited for so long for a glimpse of Mick and Ronnie. At least I got a hello from Daryl Jones.

What time of day did you see them leaving the hotel?
I drove past the main access rd of the place at 5:15pm
I couldn't see any sign of life at the rehearsal place.

One good comment which I guess is somehow true:

The black Audi left the hotel around 3pm. I assume it was taking the Stones to rehearsals since the backup musicians left in a big van about an hour and a half before.
