Not from the rehearsals but there is this one:

Mick and Brian with Pete Murray (host), Jimmy Henney, Helen Shapiro, two members of The Cadets, Mickie Most, Gordon Mills and members of The Viscounts.

Pete Murray hosts "Lucky Stars Summer Spin"; guests include Helen Shapiro, Johnny Cymbal, The Viscounts, Mickie Most, The Rolling Stones (Come On), Patsy Ann Noble, and The Cadets. Spin-a-disc DJ: Jimmy Henney.

This show and It's Only Rock And Roll video must be the only two occasions on which all the Stones had matching suits.

Is this picture from Thank Your Lucky Stars ? Their hair looks longer and Bill's got a different bass guitar ? Maybe they wore those suits for a few weeks before chucking them.

Way cool, Rollover1970! I've never seen that one before either
Meanwhile, are the fine Philip Townsend photos that the mighty stork posted definitely related to Thank Your Lucky Stars?
I've always thought they were a general photo session. The band did indeed wear those suits for a couple of weeks before losing them

Meanwhile, some recollections from Mr Townsend, quoted in ALO's book Stoned:

Philip Townsend: I took them up to Birmingham [for their first TV appearance on the Thank Your Lucky Stars show] ...
and there was this Irish show band in light-blue uniforms with lots of gold brocade on their arms [and] matching peaked caps.
Keith walked past them and said, 'Oh, the Irish fokking navy.' They all turned on him. The rest of us had to pull them apart,
it was brewing into a major fight. The producer came up and said, 'Look boys, let's pull together.'
Keith said, 'Well, they shouldn't be in the Irish fokking navy, should they, the cvnts.' Andrew broke it up.

Nice to finally see some of the Irish fokking navy in that group shot - thanks, Deltics! :E

Sorry I am not capable to add a picture/video of I Wanna Be Your Man from 2012, but this thread made me think of it.

Mick did wear such a 1963 jacket (with matching headwear) nov. 25, 2012 first show of The 50 and Counting Tour opening with I Wanna Be Your Man...!!!
Everybody in the O2 in London that night went nuts.
Maybe a tribute to Brian Jones...and his great original slide solo on it.
Ronnie did well in the O2 opening slide solo! What a great version! Unique.

Those leather waistcoats were part of the houndstooth outfits, actually.
Various Stones have noted that they liked the waistcoats a lot better than the jackets,
and they wore them considerably longer.

That seems to be confirmed by these two pictures which are apparently from October 6, 1963 in Cardiff.
In the second pic only Charlie is still wearing his jacket.

Eileen Reid and The Cadets, part of the dreadful "showband" scene here in Ireland during the 60s,70s.This rubbish was a unholy mixture of country music and Irish Shite, commonly known as "country and muck"the radio was full of this crap.It was a miracle we got to hear any rock music atall.angry smiley

No - they weren't part of the hounds tooth out fits, actually..

They were bought at a later date because the jackets were considered naff - or were not being worn for whatever reason - such as forgetting to pack them etc.

The blue leather waistcoats were considered to be a much cooler looking fashion item to wear - although they did not last long either. Again, someone would forget their coat etc. The main demise of the waistcoats was because - Brian Poole and the Tremoloes also started started wearing similar blue weather waistcoats - allegedly copying the Stones - which instantly relegated the the waist coats to the 'naff' category along with the jackets. Oh, and the black knitted neck ties were also copied...

Thanks for the correction, James Phelge! I know I've read somewhere that the waistcoats were bought at the same time
but what you say makes sense (especially because those jackets were indeed naff).
Anyway they did overlap a little with the jackets, as seen in the Gus Coral photos that Deltics posted.

Thank you for great photos! And that Keef/Irish navy story is hilarous.. grinning smiley

Looking all those old photos with matching uniforms... I have always felt that with Brian, Charlie and Bill that is alright, they look all fine, but it is Mick and Keith who doesn't look comfortable at all... They needed to get out of those to be themselves...
