Lucinda and Elvis Costello did a very nice version of Wild Horses several years back on a short-lived TV show about songwriters. I haven't been able to find the clip. Anyone?

This album is sheer brilliance. 1 hr and 43 minutes with songs with a fantastic flow. The best album I've heard in a long, long time thumbs up

I just had to bring this up again, beacause everybody on IORR should listen to this masterpiece. Great songs, great guitars, great playing, great production. Sheer brilliance, and a fantastic flow, as DandelionPowderman put it.

Go out and get it !

GREAT album(s). Impeccable songs and musicianship but sometimes I'm just not in the mood for Lucinda's drunken slur vocal style.

I agree with 71Tele about Lucinda's accent. I find it very distracting and borderline affected. It has definitely changed over the last four or five albums. As a Louisiana native I thought I was the only one that noticed. Will still get the new album.

Well, this is an old thread, so the album referred to is 2014's superb "Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone". Although supposedly there was another album's worth of material recorded at the time, maybe we will get that in 2015!
