Yes, I have all the usual suspects, Country Honk, Faraway Eyes, 70% of the Some Girls Deluxe CD, Plundered My Soul Tumbling Dice and even High and Dry and many more but it's Loving Cup that is the most original and authentic sounding.

Love it and if you don't have your own, get into STONES COUNTRY!

Never thought of it as the pinnacle of Stones country, but I do love everything about Loving Cup. The song just soars and there's a certain vulnerability in the lyrics that just floors me. I'll go with it.

Save some of those olives for me, Treacles. I like the kalamatas best.

yes delicious...mine were the traditional big green ones stuffed with pimento, the ones you normally find in a martini.

Yeah, I don't know how you classify Loving Cup...maybe not country but countryish, and certainly fits the rest of the cd perfectly.

Between the albums Exile and Some Girls (including deluxe) there are a lot of great country tunes.

Often thought about putting one together myself, just not got round to it yet.

#543rd reason why Exile is so great: It's one of the few instances where Mick plays it straight, and doesn't equate country with hillbilly hick music.

Some songs here could very easily be described as Country. Others, not so clearly: No Expectations (blues, folk,...), Indian Girl (caribbean, mariachi,...), Salt Of The Earth (with some gospel in it...), Factory Girl (always sounded kind of Irish for me...).

Anyway, a good set of songs. I also tried to use some live and outtakes, instead of studio versions of Wild Horses, Honky Tonk Woman, etc.

Some nice suggestions txussilvestre...I think I'll be able to get a good part deux CD out of those and the ones on my list I missed the first time.

I did a Stones Sycodelic CD a while back which is great.

Next venture will be a Stones Disco Dance Party CD...might have to include a few MJ solo to properly round that one out though.

Dead Flowers would be at the top of my Stones Country CD. It would also end it with the live at the Marquee Club version
