Some girls give me money
Some girls buy me clothes
Some girls give me jewelry
That I never thought I'd own
Some girls give me diamonds
Some girls, heart attacks
Some girls I give all my bread to
I don't ever want it back
Some girls give me jewelry
Others buy me clothes
Some girls give me children
I never asked them for

So give me all your money
Give me all your gold
I'll buy you a house back in Zuma beach
And give you half of what I own

Some girls take my money
Some girls take my clothes
Some girls get the shirt off my back
And leave me with a lethal dose
French girls they want Cartier
Italian girls want cars
American girls want everything in the world
You can possibly imagine
English girls they're so prissy
I can't stand them on the telephone
Sometimes I take the receiver off the hook
I don't want them to ever call at all
White girls they're pretty funny
Sometimes they drive me mad
Black girls just wanna get @#$%& all night
I just don't have that much jam
Chinese girls are so gentle
They're really such a tease
You never know quite what they're cookin'
Inside those silky sleeves

Give me all you money
Give me all your gold
I'll buy you a house back in Zuma beach
And give you half of what I own

Some girls they're so pure
Some girls so corrupt
Some girls give me children
I only made love to her once

Give me half your money
Give me half your car
Give me half of everything
I'll make you world's biggest star by half
So gimme all your money
Give me all your gold
Let's go back to Zuma beach
I'll give you half of everything I own

He may be intending to say beauty, in fact I would probably agree with you, but the coke-addled tongue is spitting out BUGIE!!

On the other hand, maybe it is bugie...if so in urbanspeak we might describe it as the following:

upper middle class or rich black folks who forget their roots
She was so bugie, she never had fried chicken before!

(like in that lil bow wow song)...
"we called her bugie, she didn't shop nowhere but Gucci"

Whatever it is, love those lyrics and that toon!

He did a lot of very good songs.
But I'd say it's again 68 - 72 (JJFlash to Exile). Great, great lyrics . .

In this article from 2011, Tim Rice rates Mick number one in his list of best lyricists. It's nice to see that kind of recognition from someone who knows the craft well.

Mick Jagger to Bob Dylan: The ten greatest lyricists chosen by SIR TIM RICE

1. MICK JAGGER

Jagger's underrated as a lyricist because he's such a brilliant performer. The Rolling Stones, probably because they came from the London area, were much more sophisticated than all the Northern groups in their lyrics. Of course, the others soon caught up. Mick was writing stuff like Play With Fire, about an heiress from St John's Wood, and Mother's Little Helper, all about women taking pills, in his early twenties. His songs were brutally realistic: 'Don't want you out in my world/Just you be my backstreet girl.' More recently he's written a lot of stuff that could almost be described as sentimental, but which still has a cutting edge.

I agree.

Sympathy for the Devil is pure genius.

Lots of others are great in different ways too fx:
Stray Cat Blues
Jigsaw Puzzle
Rocks Off
Starf*cker
Angie
Some Girls
Tops
Too Tight
Saint of Me
It Won't Take Long

God, so many songs where there are awesome lyrics. Two that popped in my head, just now are,

Let It Loose
No Use In Crying

So many to choose from.

One of his most famous, and for good reason. Every word of it is brilliant.

When I'm drivin' in my car
And that man comes on the radio
And he's tellin' me more and more
About some useless information
Supposed to fire my imagination
I can't get no, oh no no no
Hey hey hey, that's what I say
I can't get no satisfaction
I can't get no satisfaction

The way they're on this jam sort of groove and the way he's singing in it and around it and they're playing around him. Still like B&B a lot for lyrics and the sound of it all.

Melody, it was a second name
Melody, it was a second name

Came home one morning about quarter to three
I'm banging on my door cause I just lost my key
Open up, baby, you got someone else inside
I'm going to come get you dead or alive

I took her out dancing but she drank away my cash
She said, "I'm going to fix my face don't you worry I'll be back"
I'm looking for her high and low like a mustard for a ham
She was crashed out in the bathroom
In the arms of my best friend

Then one day she left me
She took everything that moved
My car, she took my trailer home
She took my Sunday boots
My nose is on her trail
I'm going to catch her by surprise
Then I'm going to have the pleasure
To roast that child alive

Maybe on record, he improvised that last 'beauty' and did say something else...because the first two do sound like beauty.

Well, it does actually sound like 'booty' or 'pooty' on the last one, so I just figured he adlibbed it..

So many great lyrics, hard to choose a 'best' one. Someone mentioned 'Sympathy' and I agree that it's one of his best.

But since he was a provactive lyricist there's also stuff like 'Brown Sugar' which for me is equally good.

Mary and I we would sit upon the gate
Just gazing at some dragon in the sky
What tender days we had, no secrets hid away
Seems about a hundred years ago...

Now if you see me drinking bad red wine
Don't worry about this man that you love
Don't you think it's sometimes wise not to grow up?
