Quote
The Stones
Sway - The Rolling Stones
The Great Gig in the Sky - Pink Floyd, wonderful vocals by Clare Torry
All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
Child in Time - Deep Purple
The Logical Song - Supertramp

Nice selection. Though, goosebumps? I'm not sure. With me that depends much on the mood and setting I'm in when a tune comes up.

Fool to Cry (I put a rehearsel version down below) comes to my mind, and Memory Motel. And a tune by a German band, probably completely unknown to most of you, but it's got something: Verdamp lang her by BAP (unfortunately can't find a good youtube clip to show).

Moonlight Mile

Took my then GF to Mt Hood, her first snowboarding trip. After 2 days of teaching/helping her ride. I finally got some alone time. Beautiful afternoon and I was having an awsome run. It just seemed to build up with the song too! Honestly, one of the best buzzes I've ever had. Everytime I hear MM. I'm back on Mt Hood and the hairs, on the back of my neck, are standing up.

Whenever I hear the first chilling notes of Gimme Shelter I get a chill.

I was watching the Olympia show from Four Flicks last night and I got a lot of goosebumps. The band was great and Mick Jagger was on fire that night especially mid-way through the show on songs like Stray Cat Blues, That's How Strong My Love Is, Going to A Go-Go and even Dance. Great show!

The older you get the harder you get the Goosebumps.......but Gimme Shelter still does it sometimes

As we say in Holland it must be the "callus on the soul" that spoil it

From the Stones, Sway always does (other than the live versions I have heard).
20,000 Light Years From Home - I was 8 or 9 the first time I heard it and it gave me chills then. It still does (and sounds great live!).

I think we respond more to music as we discover it in our youth, and those feelings stay with us.

But I have heard a few things that still give me chills (even at 50)

Cell Phones Ringing In The Pockets Of The Dead by Willie Nile
Biko by Peter Gabriel (especially live)

Gotta agree, Gimme Shelter does it every time for me too...love Black Limo, She's so Cold and Let Me Go.So many of the classics do....reading the lists above is fun.
One of my favourite songs has to be "Can't You See" performed by Marshall Tucker (great live song) as well as by Matt Minglewood. give them a spin.

Exile is my goosebump album. There is a live feeling to the songs, they aren't sterily overproduced. The songs who tend to raise the hair on my arms are: Casino Boogie, Loving Cup, Ventilator Blues and Soul Survivor.
