Help - what is the best airport from NYC to Atlantic City when driving a car?

I wouls say that Newark would be the best. Philly might be good too.

I live in Philly and would love to help you, but I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you looking for an airport to fly into from Europe and then drive to Atlantic City? If yes, then there's no question that the Philly airport is closest (60 miles from AC).

Atlantic City has an airport as well, but it's a relatively small one and likely doesn't handle flights from Europe. But I think it does take flights from New York/Newark, in which case you could fly to New York/Newark, then fly on to AC. Under that scenario, you wouldn't even need a car, as you could take a cab from the AC airport into town.

Yes, Atlantic City has its airport, but then the travel from Paris takes 11 hours instead of 8 when landing in NYC or Philadelphia.

As for the airport choice, I have to balance various elements
- driving distance to Atlantic City
- hours of landing
- airfare

ie, it's better to land in NYC at 1 AM for 400 USD than in Atlantic City at 6 PM for 600 USD, even it is closer. We have also to count the money and the jet lag.

If you're on a budget and would be willing to save money by not renting a car, you could always fly into NYC and then take a bus from NY to AC. There are casino buses leaving from the Port Authorty every hour. They cost roughly $20 each way.
