The Tickemaster print-the ticket-yourself thing: how does it work?

I am a bit old fashion, I prefer to pay the extra postage rather than print it myself

now the silly, candid question : how does it work

- to be sure you don't print a ticket twice
- to be sure you have anyway a ticket, should your printer mess up.

as I understand it - ticketmaster actually charges you a fee to do this. also, you lose your ticket-stub "souvenir" if you're into that. not my preference, this route.

True, but about multiple printing?

the bar code is read into the scanner at the venue, so printing it twice is no concern

" the bar code is read into the scanner at the venue, so printing it twice is no concern"

And they let you keep the whole 8.5 x 11" page. You have to bring the whole thing with you. It does appear rather unsightly in the frame with your other stubs.

ALSO it is not uncommon for T'bastard to NOT e-mail you the PDF of your tickets. If you don't see them in 24 hours you can bet you'll spend at least an hour in T'bastard voice mail hell before you finally get to somebody who will then re e-mail your ticket PDF.

With 4 months to go, let the bastards mail them to you on their dime.

I'm with "R" on this one. After you buy your ticket, you get an E-Mail from Ticket-Master...you open it up, print the page, bring the entire page with you...this is your stub which they scan the bar code off of. The times I've done it worked flawlessly, but you have time, let them mail you your ticket.
