Yeah...a little more specific: HM suggested he got nasty mails and threats by mail coming as he suspected from people on iorr and he said that's why he posted the fistf.ck pic and telling the mailers to f.ck yourself.

We can conclude his identity on iorr did not grow old gracefully...

That is good news indeed!! Now let's hope that HM reconsiders. I know that the picture he posted was a bit grotesque and not appropriate for this forum (we know the rules). I mean we are Rolling Stones fans..was anyone truly offended? It was shockingly funny. He was truly hurt and pissed off and acted in haste. We've all been there before.

When you go on a Stones fan site, you expect to see and read stuff on a band you wan't to hear more about.

IORR ,Rocksoff and shidoobee are all great and we all love anything to do with The Rolling Stones.

Any age of person can be a Rolling Stones fan from 8 to 80 and more.

I was a fan when I was 10 years old.

You don't expect to look at a page and someone's posted something really disgusting.

Yes and while we're at it, let's acknowledge that the stunt HM pulled is something an immature teen would more likely do than a grown up.

Well, be that as it may, we all can agree that he acted inappropriately by posting that photo. Whatever..what's done is done. I don't think any kids got hurt along the way. What I meant in my earlier post, is that we've all been angry and hurt, and may have said things and behaved in a manner that we very soon regretted. I always enjoyed HM's posts and photos (except the infamous one)...he provided a wealth of information. Even though he and I didn't always see eye-to-eye about Mick Taylor; it was still fun talking to him.

I don't know what kind of pic was posted and I don't want to know what it was. I think everything that was discussed about this subject speaks for itself.

I have a great respect for His Majesty and I think he is missed here, because he was always one of the best posters on this board with very useful pics, videos and infos about the Stones, and I think it's a shame that things go on this way, though I think he didn't needed to do what he did.

10/12 year old kids can maybe have access to worst things than the picture he posted, but this is a Stones board and we don't need to see things like that.

Maybe we should go back to the origin of the the problem:
Apparently some people here didn't agree about the sharing of those tapes and did acted in purpose, here is the real shame.
The pic story is anecdotic, some stones songs lyrics shouldn't be listened by 10/12 year old kids too.

Sorry if my comments have caused a 'rumpus' here,but I feel very strongly that young kids should not be able to access 'unsuitable material' on a legitimate website,that is all about something differant altogether,like music etc.

I was about 10 when I first heard on the radio, The Rolling Stones,and if the internet was around then,I would have been on it to get all the latest info and videos etc. on them.

HM is probably a very nice guy and did it in the heat of the moment,for his own reasons,without realising the consequences of his actions.

It is still no excuse for putting porn on a Rolling Stones website.

What I remember about the thread was that it was the most interesting for ages about things that happened in the '60's concerning The Rolling Stones.

HM did put a couple of clips on ,and they were very,very short and I did listen to them but it didn't exactly have that 'Wow' factor in my opinion.

Maybe differant with the whole tape,but for his own reasons,he acted as he did.

Indeed, and whatever was the reason for HM to post that pic (it could be the heat of the moment, he could be probably pissed off by some negative comments and personal e-mails he probably has received), I think he didn't needed to post whatever it was the pic he posted here. Sometimes we need to calm down before post anything here, even if we are angry or dissatisfied for whatever reason. But I still have a great respect for HM, though.
