I think they have been here longer, Lance. 10 years ago (or was it 9?), IORR broke down, and all the statistics started from scratch again. The number of posts, the date of registration etc.

I'm pretty sure they were around 17 years ago, when I started to post here

^ Yes, but returning IORRians will only be allotted 2 posts per thread--because the special guests wouldn't be so special if they were allowed to post in the entire thread. Of course, once in a while, they may get 3 or 4, depending on what the post list in the thread turns out to be....

DP is correct there was a reset. When I started here in 2001 there was already a big community (including Gazza and others). Because of the reset, I don't think anyone has a join date earlier than that even though we were here.

I remember how exciting it was to follow the 2002 rehearsals and tour and start to download the mp3's from shows just days after they happened, as opposed to the 2 decades prior of searching high and low for vinyl bootlegs whose quality you didn't even know until you got them home.

10 years? I think i registered in '97 but then BV made an upgrade or something a few years back and we all had the same date for joining IORR.

There was a reset in 2004. Most old-timers have been here longer. I remember having over 10.000 posts before the reset. I think it happened because BV migrated IORR to a new server or something. So it's not quite a 10 year anniversary.

Shidoobee has been here for almost 20 years too. It started at some chat forum and StonesDoug took the reigns of that, and made Shidoobee.

I was at least registered in 1997. Then I signed the IORR guest book and won some nice pictures, from the 1995 tour, sent me by BV.

I think I enlisted in the IORR regiment about 2000 and first met Bjornulf on my first trip abroad to see The Stones at MSG in January 2003.

Got the travel bug to see The Stones then and saw them 9 times during the European Tour that year. ><
