Guys am in Richmond and need to know if the pub they regularly played in the early days still stands and if so can anyone gimme the address please?

Went to Cheltenham yesterday. Man was that surreal. Six trains, four buses and two marathons later I was stuffed but it was worth every minute of it. (Some really stunning countryside to stare at along the way helped).
When I arrived at Brian's grave it was as if I was in the Twilight Zone.
Had promised myself from single digits that I would one day make it and I finally I had.
I'm sure he was laughing at me as I was fumbling camera and film in the pouring rain. Actually I was quite openly telling him to stop being a bastard and help me out. Felt great talking to him - as though it was someone I'd known my whole life. But I guess in a way I have known him what feels like forever.

I took some flowers and left a card signed 'love from the boys and girls at IORR'.
Also left him half a pack of ciggys.

Paul Blain and Yaksami (sp?? sorry I can't remember your exact name) I read letters you left at the gravesite - hope you don't mind.
Well actually Paul I only read yours and stared at Yaksami's as I don't read Japanese. :0)

Great day. A pilgrimidge I'd recommend to any Stones fan.

Must remember on my next quest thru the Empire to take a fu*kin umbrella!!

Btw, I'm staying on Richmond Hill Road. Is that Mick's and Townsend's street?

You must mean the Station Hotel which housed the Crawdaddy Club back in the 60s. It is still there but is now called the Bull and Bush I think - opposite Richmond Station in Station Road. There used to be a sign above the entrance telling people about the history of the place and the Stones connection.

Mick and Jerry's pad is called Downe House. Its on Richmond Hill, with a great view overlooking the Thames. I'd post the number here but Id prefer not to!

Townshend lives at The Wick which is on the opposite side of the street and down to the left about 60 yards. Its directly opposite the Richmond Hotel. Ronnie Wood, of course, used to own this house. (in fact, Keith stayed there for a few months when lying low from the cops around 1973 - he lived in the gatelodge at the bottom of the garden which you can clearly see when you walk down the lane at the side of the house)

Both houses have the house name clearly indicated on the door, so theyre hard to miss!

The Station Hotel (now the Bull & Bush) is directly opposite Richmond station. Cant miss it.

if you're still in richmond on sat, you could head for the Half Moon pub on Lower Richmond Road, where you'll find the Rollin' Stoned playing (and a bunch of us - well, a large handful anyway).

Or, if yer feeling poncy, the George IV pub in Hampstead is a great place to look at poofters. Actually, Hampstead has some GREAT pubs: The White Bear, Duke of Hamilton, Geo. IV, I mean William IV, O'Henerey's (on Finchley Road, just up from the tube station).
