I think it was the early show that was aired... Heartbreaker replaced Mr. D for the second show, I think.

I somehow came across an official KBFH cd from this with cue sheet several years back on Ebay. I've never seen one before or since, not saying they're not still out there (everybody's probably hanging on to them). It aired in the nineties, but not sure of exactly which Brussels 73 show(s) it was from.

I know this is nitpicky, but it's flour (what you make biscuits with), not flower. smiling smiley

Actually, there are recipes for flower biscuits, and they seem rather tasty--though you probably couldn't live on them.

Yeah, but the King Biscuit Flour Hour became the King Biscuit flower Hour.

I remember a King Biscuit show from Memphis that featured the Stones cover of "Hound Dog" - as a tribute to Elvis I would imagine.

The version of Hound Dog was from 6/28/78 in Memphis. During the summer of 1979, there was a 90-minute KBFH that included about 75 minutes of various 1978 tour stops (including a bunch from Detroit), followed a week later by another 90-minute KBFH that included Peter Tosh and the Stones from the 6/29/78 show from Lexington, Kentucky.

The performances from 1973 (that first aired in 1974) included a few songs from 9/9/73 from Wembley, but was mostly 10/17/73 Brussels.

...and they were broadcast in quadrophonic sound (the second quadrophonic recording after 'Ladies and Gentlemen')! Once I got a CD with the quadrophonic recording but I can't play it.

This airing wound up on the Handsome Girls-bootlegs, right? Or did they have access to the masters as well?

When they changed it from the King Biscuit Flour to King Biscuit Flower, why didn't they name the show King Biscuit Flower Hower? That's always puzzled me...
