I'll give the nod to Loving Cup as well. Keith at his vocal peak. Since around 1980 (only 8 years later!), Jagger was doing most of the studio harmonies, but in that Keith style. When I first heard "She's So Cold", I knew it was Keith on harmony, but it wasn't. And who knows, maybe Mick coached Keith on those late '60's-early 70's harmonies. But he sure had that 'lonely cowboy' feel.

Gotta give credit to Keef on the Atlantic City '89 version of "Ruby Tuesday". It's not like it matched LC, but it shocked me how good it was, having gotten used to his ragged live harmonies from the previous two tours.

Casino Boogie has always been my very fav Keith/Mick harmony b/c they both sing the majority of the verses together in their own unique styles……"judge and jury walked out HAND AND HAND…"

The whole Side 2 of Exile:
leading the choir in "Virginia"
"Torn & Frayed" one of his best ever
"Sweet Black Angel" and "Loving Cup

I was listening to an outtake of "wild Horses" yesterday, w/o his BU Vox, and it hit me again how beautiful his harmonies in chorus are.

Luxury (toward the ending) is a good one as well.

Keith and Ron's back up vocals on the studio version of Miss You is also surprisingly good. Bernard, Lisa and Blondie have never managed to top that on the live versions, imo.

Yes, yes and yes. The vocals on "Miss You" are excellent. And that is kind of a surprise

Gotta be Happy. It's absolutely joyous when Mick comes in and sends the song soaring to an exultant high. This is the sound of summer encapsulated in a song.

Posters in this thread aren't looking back far enough. The best example has to be from Rolling Stones No. 1, where Keith's vocal on Can I Get A Witness is every bit as energetic and vital as Mick's and colors the track in a way that adds to the lead vocal in a complementary fashion.

Likewise his doubling of Mick's vocal in If You Need Me, which adds body and added presence to the lead vocal.

Good choices, stonehearted!

Not my favourite, but Keith's backing vocals on The Singer Not The Song also deserves a mention, imo.

I have always loved the part on Slipping Away when Mick comes in and sings "all I want is ectasy..". To me that was is like the George Foreman punch to Michael Moorer. George was older, diffent and not like his younger self but in one punch brought it all back to why he was and became champ......

I'd vote Torn and Frayed, Keith did great on the live debut as well.
