Or maybe not: no 4-days gap between countries then. Just wait for the official tour dates (12-Feb-2024, 9:00am CET).

AC/DC 2024 Tour: beside rumors of Chris Chaney on bass, there're also rumors of Matt Laug on drums again - he already played at 2023 Power Trip:

So sad. It’s basically the Angus Young show at this point. Glad I saw them back them in the day on the Ballbreaker tour. I’d never pay to go see them now with this lineup.

Jeez, do you people realize there's only 2 original Stones left in the line up. For crying out loud it's 50-60 years on, what do you expect?

I mean, up until 3 years ago there was Charlie, and Ronnie is as much a classic member as anyone. So pre-pandemic there were still 4 stones left, and then I saw them a decade ago with a 5th stone with Mick Taylor. So to have what we have now, its very different. I wouldn't see it, but thats me. Same with AC/DC. I could do it without Malcolm but it still had Brian, then Axl, and Cliff, and Chris and Stevie in for rhythm and drums who had done it before. It was acceptable then, its very different now.

There are many bands with just a couple original members still - The Stones, The Who, AC/DC previously, hell even Metallica only has two original members!!! The difference is some of these bands have been carrying on with the same replacements for decades now. So long so that it’s become almost acceptable. This new incarnation of AC/DC is above and beyond that. It’s not much different from Skynyrd these days. Still a good show but the most expensive tribute band you’ll ever see.

Metallica only having 2 is a stretch. I mean t9 be fair Kirk has played on every studio album. Not calling Kirk an original is like not counting Bill and Charlie original members. That said, it all comes down to what you are willing to pay for. AC/DC is a pass for me without Phil or Cliff. But I don't think they will have any problems selling out stadiums world wide without them. I thought The Who without John Entwhistle was a major drop off in 2002 compared to seeing them with John in 2000. But again. It all comes down to what people are willing to pay to see.

It’s the same with all these bloody football teams. No original members left!

I'm sure the hardcore/dedicated fans will be pissed off that Phil and Cliff won't be involved but the reality of it is, most average fans don't know who they are anyway!

I mean thats the same way that people who follow Guns N Roses only care about Axl and Slash. They claim Duff means something, but he doesn't. He's as important as Izzy being there, or Steven or Sorum. That said, it still irks a lot of hardcore fans and it depends if you think thats worth it.

Easy pass! I'm not travelling to see these guys. The 2008 and 2009 Black Ice shows will remain the only times I saw them live, glad I did.

For those going, I salute you for sure.

Surprised they didn't do BST Hyde Park instead of Wembley, but then again maybe they can charge a higher fee with a stand-alone show instead of a festival.

How many shows do you plan to go to, Irix? And YouTube or just posting about them doesn't count!

Only one show: to see if Angus' hair is greyer than mine, to remember Malcolm, to see Brian for the last time and to see if there's a difference with Chris Chaney & Matt Laug.

AMS prices

Rang 1 – Staanplaatsen: €168,00
Rang 2 – Zitplaatsen: €168,00
Rang 3 – Zitplaatsen: €151,20
Rang 4 – Zitplaatsen: €117,60

Wembley has "Front Pitch Standing" (£145.75). You'd think that similar stadiums would use that set up as well.

Price range in Hannover seams to be 150-180 euro. Don't know if tht means there will be front of stage.

London on a Sunday night (not as good as a Saturday night!). Still, a weekend date so cannot complain.

Now that's a thought...have Mick stand in for Brian!
