Yes and lack of western germany seems not logical. Cant see then doing that many shows in germany.

I agree with you guys basically. But Germany is a hard core AC/DC country. Plus I'm sure there's other Euro dates too. Just thought I'd share my friends insight. Again, I didn't ask where he got the information but I also know he doesn't like uncertain rumors. Let's wait and see.

Tour announcement probably in January 2024 - [www.WN.de] - (in German, by newspaper 'Westfälische Nachrichten').

Update 10-Jan-2024, rumors about 11 shows in Germany - [www.WN.de] .

I hear a new album might be forthcoming. Hoping it’s light years better than Power Up, which for me was the worst Brian era album. I can’t even listen to it. A huge disappointment compared even to Rock Or Bust.

Whut?

That's hilarious.

Post-FTATR, to my ears:

Flick Of The Switch ***
Fly On The Wall **
Blow Up Your Video **
The Razors Edge ***
Ballbreaker ***
Stiff Upper Lip *****
Black Ice *****
Rock Or Bust *
Power Up ***

All subject of course, GSL.....Here's my take

Black Ice is too damn long for me. A bit of bloat if I'm honest.

Kind of like most of us say about Bigger Bang!

Indeed, I suppose. If they had trimmed a couple of songs, it could have been one of their absolute best!!! Black Ice that is.

Voodoo13-I've always enjoyed Fly on the Wall too. First AC/DC album I bought that was "new" at the time. Had Back in Black but got it in 1984. Got Fly on the Wall the week it came out. Back in Business and Playing with Girls are great deep cuts.

Just read this on a pearl jam board. Apparently pearl jam fans convinced it’s AC/DC, AC/DC fans convinced it’s pearl jam. More likely AC/DC I think, pj tour announcing later in Jan (Europe, us 2 legs and Aus/nz)

Haha, not ACDC, it's Billy Joel and a blonde singer I haven't heard of

It's past 11am in Seattle and it's still very quiet on the AC/DC front.

Some fine choices there Voodoo for the 4 and 5 star. Fly On Thw Wall has always been a favourite; vocally a bit rough but the riffs and tunes have so much power and kick to them. Far catchier riffing than Black Ice, Bsllbreaker, Power Up for example, to my ears anyway.

I found Black Ice very pedestrian besides a handful of nuggets. Rock Or Bust was a surprise, it rekindled some of that old energy. It is not up there with Powerage, Highway to Hell, but is on par with Razors Edge for example.

Black Ice compared earlier in the thread to A Bigger Bang - for me ABB would be far superior. Hackney Diamonds surpasses Bang, but I have to say that 18 years after its release my 12-track 'A Better Bang' still gets played. Far too long at 16 tracks, stuff like Neocon I leave off the playlist. The album has some genuine thrills though in quality material like LIND, Rough Justice, Rain Fall Down, This Place Is Empty, Back Of My Hand, It Won't Take Long. I've even grown to appreciate Infamy & Streets Of Love, took years to see their worth. SOL has that killer pop hook chorus that just about makes up for its Jovi/Aerosmith-esque power ballad verses.

It's coming to an end?!?! Damn. It's been an impressive run, and an easy gig for him! Would love to have a new album, but realize that's most likely never going to happen.

Seems we have very similar tastes regarding the post-FTATR AC/DC releases!!! Also similar liking for ABB tracks! Though I still cringe at SOL. I'll listen to it but I'm rolling my eyes as I cringe. Only other one I'd add is Driving Too Fast, but all the others I'd also lose. It was a solid album really. Has much more of Stones sound than the current HD does.

Could it be the lack of Charlie?? Think I'll drop this in the HD album thread too. For me, it just doesn't SOUND like a Stones record. Specifically, it doesn't SOUND like the Stones. I hear Mick singing loud and clear, and it's the best he's sounded since B2B IMHO, but the album lacks the distinctive Stones sound....
