OT: The Cramps

Any love here for these guys?

Sadly, Lux, the vocalist died a few years back - but they stayed true to Rock and Roll til the very end. Musically accomplished no - but what they lacked in chops they made up for big time in attitude. I love 'em.

I hope Lux didn't say "bend over, I'll drive" HB!

no smiling smiley BUT- when i got there in the afternoon after sound check, he was SCREAMING in some guy's face - I'm like, "I have to meet this guy now?" I'm about 19. So after he reams this guy (sound guy i think) for about five minutes, hyperventilating, he turns to me and says calmly, "hey man what's up?"

Do you want the real thing
Or are you just talkin'?"

The Cramps not only had released a lot of very good albums but they have (had?) a very good musical taste. Does anybody here ever heard about the "Lux and Ivy's Favorites"?

This is an awesome collection of 17 CDs compiled by a huge fan of them, and includes the best collection of rarely heard blues and rock and roll gems.

Yeah great tastes in music ... there's plenty of CD"s books etc listing their faves .... Australian Bruce Milne tracked down the originals
of the songs The Cramps had covered and kick started the Songs The Cramps Taught Us series ...

This is probably the most insane rock'n'roll concert ever played by any band.

Great rock n roll, great titles. I believe they had an album called: 'Bad Music for Bad People'....good record, great name.

"Garbage Man" is one of the baddest-ass songs ever recorded. It's a favorite of mine.
