Hmmm wonder if there heavy on the cameras because the Stones are filming the show for possible release??? I guess, if I'm honest, I don't care as long as the rain stays away & the show is rocking. Would still very much like to meet some fellow iorr folks and say hello if a venue is arranged after show

Absolutely. I think it will end early too.

A place everybody can find is Hard Rock Cafe (Kurfürstendamm/Meinekestr) or JAGGERS JAGGERS

right around the corner (Meinekestr 21). Easy to get there from Waldbühne bei train (U-Bahn) and near to Gazza`s place Savignyplatz.

After the show, I'll have to go catch the train at the Hauptbahnhof. It leaves at 00.27. I'm not worrying much about getting to the venue. It's pretty much a straight line. I'm a bit worried about getting back after the gig though. Is there any easy way that I can be sure of getting to the station? I think the metro, buses and such, will be loaded after the gig.

Btw: I'll be in Berlin around 14.30. Where should we meet up?

Where did you get that information from? I mean, this would be a full daylight concert.....

You'll have absolutely no problem getting back to the station in time. Berlin has a fantastic range of public transport.

There was no problem getting back from Olympiastadion to the city in 2006 and the crowd at that show was three times the size of what will be at this one.

So, according to my ticket and the website of the Waldbuhne the gates opens at 17:00 and beginning of the event is at 19:00. The Temperance Movement will kick off at 19:00 for lets say 45minutes. Then about a 45-60minutes pause before the Stones take the stage for 2hours. That makes the beginning of the Stones at approx. 20:30-20:45. End at approx. 22:30-22:45.....
Or am I wrong????

This is exactly what worries me - they will have to cut their sets (opening act as well as the Stones). It's rather gonna be:
19:15 - 19:45 Opening act
20:15 - 21:59 Stones

a snippet of information from RS.com about the show in Zurich (see: [www.rollingstones.com] )

"Doors: 4pm

Support – The Temperance Movement: 7pm

The Rolling Stones: 7.25pm"

that means the opening will be on stage for just 20 minutes or so. If the have a similar timetable for Berlin we'll get a regular show

20 minutes plus a 5 minute break before the Stones? Er...Both highly unlikely.

Maybe theyve got special dispensation to play a bit later.

Anyone remember the hysteria about Hyde Park when the running times had the Stones down for a 90 minute set?

Are you going by Deutsche Bahn? Via Hamburg?

Some ICE´s stop in Spandau, that´s 10 minutes from Waldbühne.

Hi guys,

I got word from madame Giese at DEAG (concert promoters) about the pick up for the 'Lucky dip'-tix at Waldbühne (Berlin)/.

Here's what she said: ...

"the exact time to pick up the lucky dip’s is 5pm at the Box Office in front of the entrance to the Waldbühne. The Box Office is open from 5 to 7 pm to pick up the lucky dips.
Address: glockenturmplatz, 14052 Berlin
The nearest S-Bahn-Station is S-Bahnhof Pichelsberg.
"

I already know (from the Waldbühne people) that (support act) show starts at exactly 7pm.

You don´t need Lucky dip-tickets when you have ebay. They sell Front of stage-tickets for under 40 Euro there:

Concerning the cameras, as was discussed before - there are "official" instructions at the Waldbuhne webb site now. [www.waldbuehne-berlin.de]

At the bottom of the page it says what is forbidden to take inside. It is the same text as is printed on the tickets and it says nothing about cameras. So I don't expect any problems with small cameras.
