Anyway You Look At It

I have always liked that song and how Jagger sings.
It is very touching now to listen to it.
I suggest that we all play it and send from or souls Jagger and L´Wren Scotts family our deepest thoughts.

Great song

It's a nice little ballad. The first time the Stones achieved a Nick Drake-ish feel in their songs.

I love this one - especially the vocal bridge from Keith two thirds through.

A mature stones song

I like this song too. Much reviled on here by many though.

I remember when it came out, the buzz was that it was a two vocal track a la Memory Motel. At the time, I thought it was pretty universal amongst Stones fans that it was among the worst things they'd ever done. I hated it, but actually haven't listened to it for 15 years. I'll dig it out and try again.

It has it's charms but is a bit too mawkish for my tastes. I wonder if there's a version with a longer Keith part, because that section just sounds thrown in-it adds nothing to the song.

I think the little Keith-bridge is brilliant, and a really good transitional piece in the song. The atmosphere in the song is unique for a Stones track, imo.

See, I hear the break in Mick's vocals just before Keith joins as quietly emotional and Keith's bridge almost as joining in to cover and, for me, that adds a unique sentiment to the song. I feel it adds a lot but it's all impressionistic - and, of course, because it's never performed we don't know how deliberate that mixing is.

Not a huge fan but gets bonus points for having both Mick and Keith on vocals and for being a "real" B-Side in the sense that it was not on the album and not a throwaway/blues track.

Too bad the other planned b-side from he B2B sessions, "Everchanging World" never saw the light of day.

I liked it from the first time I heard it when I got rarities. Mick ballads usually aren't this sentimental. He does it very well here.

I'm not sure if this one is a Mick-ballad. The melody line is somewhat undeveloped, and we all know who writes like that...

A Mick-sung ballad then...grinning smiley

I love this, but one person's "tender and emotional" is another person's "mawkish". Matter of personal taste.

It feels to me as if the Keith vocal was put in to cover a gap in Mick's singing - maybe forgotten words or whatever - so an otherwise excellent vocal take could be used rather than re-recorded. But it works.

Beautiful song.
I never understood the dislike for this one.

I feel the same.
I heard it on the Radio the first time and had to send it.

Never heard it before.
